[UPDATE 5: Intel's Spectre-focused BIOS updates causing crashes] Intel CPUs vulnerable

Here is some reading for those who are interested.

After reading hysterical news I think its overreacting. Problem is with reading and no writing and its bit by bit (1500 bytes per second). Problem is for cloud and datacenter or whatever applications which needs to be separated. This kind of flaw has zero impact on us gamers.

RedHat video explaing how this flaw works for us noobs.

Effects every CPU including gamers

What dose this game do using asynchronous loading? it READS, it already causes stuttering and this problem would make it worse, anything from 1-5% or all the way up to 30% or more

I actually gained frame rates in most games with the latest Ryzen chipset driver (1/16/18).

Sry, what did you say?

CPU working like that for many years. Gamers has no issue with it, quite contrary, such a behaviour is welcomed.

You have to write code/virus, which is going to read unsecure cache memory where "speculative execution" is throwing not needed/used data and you have to make CPU to throw data that are relevant to inforamtion you are trying to obtain: for example odd integer, so you know even number are correct one.. Data from this cache can be read bit by bit, 1500 bytes per second, by side channel code/virus.

Are we talking about same topic?
