Best Energy Shield Helmet?

So I have been playing poe for about 3 weeks now and I love the game.
I decided to do Chaos Inoculation, so I'm looking for the best helmet that I can use for it.

I have The Vertex Vaal Mask, which gives me 275 Energy Shield, +268% Evasion and Energy Shield plus others including +24% chaos resistance. But since I am already immune to chaos damage, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for which helmet would best suite me without making part of the gear inefficient?

I am a lightning strike witch elementalist.

The helmet with most Energy Shield in Abyss on poe.trade is a Hubris Circlet with 326 ES.

It's pretty hard to beat The Vertex in the ES department nowadays but you can get other useful stats on rares like elemental resists or accuracy. Most CI builds have used rare helmets historically.

But he´s playing standard. You can look for rare hubris circlet on poe.trade.

On the other hand vertex offers nice evasion rating which is really helpful for melee CI build.

Ooo okay! so thats a new item. okay Ill keep an eye out for a hubris if its better than my vertex :)

Not really a new item. Hubris Circlet is just helmet base type. Rare hubris can have up to 6 affix mods (3 prefixes + 3 suffixes)

You can also find some mods on poe.trade that are not available anymore in the game (check "legacy items").

Vertex, Malachai's Vision, Heretic's veil and to some extent martyr's crown are semi-decent es helms.



GG helms are legacy rare hubris circlet which es could go far above 400 and have an additional intelligence roll for even bigger es, but they cost a lot of exalts.
