oni-goroshi drop conditions - a strongly worded letter

This is a guarantee 6-link, end-game viable, 1-lvl req item. Do you want to get it in a 10 mins of mindless grind? And you are crying after 1.5hours? Like.. seriously? SSF players can grind 8 hours in aqueduct just to get a single tabla-rasa..

Pathetic. Spend a few hours or spend some currency, if you really want this sword.

As I said, I dont have the currency to spend. This thing runs for at least fifty chaos orbs. Ive never had a character with even close to that much currency. Also, from what ive been told its not even close to end game viable. People were saying its damage worth peters out well before act 10.

Okay, so all jokes aside, it is possible to spawn OG before level 7 but the chances go way up after. And you spend longer at level 7 than 1-6 combined so that makes it seem like 7 is the threshold. It. Is. Not.

But for now it is by far the most reliable way to get it.

I would never allow GGG to put a hidden drop condition like level 7 only with no hints first. The recipe hunt was cruel enough and it had way more hints.

So I agree it feels unfair right now but it is not.

And the rarity will have to go up in future or SSF leagues will be very very one-note for the first day.

Are you actually certain about this? If its true I will take back my rant and even apologize for it, but apparently everyone on multiple different global channels is working under the assumption that level 7 is a flat requirement. I would be very curious about the actual percentages.

50c = 100-110 fusings. 7 fusings = 4 items with 6 sockets. They are very common.. simple way to earn starting budget. Div. cards for chaos orbs drops in act 7 like crazy. You can even do the chaos recipes!
50c is not that much.. Simple reason why you don't have currency - you don't play the game or you waste your time & currency in extremely inefficient way.

Maximum dps of this sword (on level 100 char) is 937 with Her Blessing buff active. Not even close to end game?
Charan I appreciate the literally years of effort invested in this sword, but with all due respect man - Hillock ?
yes I'm aware the one who actually drops this is "Uber Hillock" who's more dangerous than usual, but you had a chance to make a great unique be gated by challenge. some optional extra-hard boss or "survival" type encounter in story mode or late-game for example.
instead, you made this great unique a prime bot target, and require human players to behave like bots.
I cannot understand that.

Why would bots farm it?

why not?

the question you should be asking is if an automated script can be made to detect and defeat "Uber Hillock" once encountered.
because repeating Strand and getting to him eventually, is the easiest "for" loop in China.
so, does he require human skills to defeat?

my real point here though, is the Hillock who drops her should spawn 4 Rogue Exiles, an Invasion Boss, and fkn mini-Abaxoth as minions - and if you survive that you earn her.
otherwise it's just players "botting" Strand over and over. a job actual bots do much better.

Implying a stack of almost thirty cards that *may* drop anywhere, is "easy" or skill-based.

I know GGG well enough to understand they know no other solutions except RNG or double RNG.
Did not expect someone who actually plays the game - for longer than I do in fact - to go for the same approach...

I Love the sword, Charan. Went the extra thousand miles to obtain all previous versions of it.
But the ways of obtaining it now are BS.
Should be skill-based not encouraging human players to use bot-like gameplay.

unfair to the casual players..
can't tell if serious
Great work there Charan !!

I like these crazy little shit in games, this sword is already full of stories !!

I'll never farm for it though, sorry about that :D
Somewhere around level 5 in the Twilight Strand, I realized that this was a trick. A mean, dirty trick.

Sure, if you're no good at the game, this is a great way of getting a 6L weapon that appears to be pretty decent. But if you're halfway decent at the game? Better off spending your time on your primary :P

I found mine in 1 hours and 39 minutes played time on the character I dropped it with. You're close so don't give up and cry so easily. I was honestly surprised it's been dropping so frequently. It's not that hard to farm, I feel you are just being lazy.

How did you even get to level 7 in so short a time? Im only at level 4.5 in that same amount of time. Given the massive XP dropoff at level 5 im not even halfway there.

I feel like people are missing the point. Its not the fact you have to farm for the item. Its the fact that you have to farm the zone before the item will even start to drop, then you still have to farm for the item itself after that. This means that literally *ONLY* farmers can get the item. Theres no chance for a lucky drop for a casual player. An item should never be 100% limited to only a certain type of playstyle.
When you log into the game with the character you are trying to farm the sword with type /played and it will tell you down to the second how long that character has been played. I used 3 characters on rotation, mostly because there was a theme of 3 with the old version of the sword. Kill all the zombies and crabs then kill hillock. Doing that allows the zone to reset for the other chars.

If you think Oni-Goroshi is hard to get you should've tried to get the stars aligned to craft Unleashed.
