Is Xsolla safe ?

Used xsolla on here like 2 weeks ago to purchase some points- failed multiple times and got card blocked; sorted that out and finally got the points and payment done..

Few days later had some random charge for 180$ from some random trading company trying to withdraw from that card- had only used said card with poe/xsolla.. so i know it wasnt some other issue.

XSOLLA IS FUCKING TRASH - BE CAREFUL; theres a reason alot of banks block their transactions now.

Don't use Xsolla. It is cancer aids. Use Steam to purchase your packs/items.

It's not that there are issues with the payments, they go through just fine.

Crap, I just bought some supporter packs with Paypal via Xsolla. Accidentally gave them the rights for pre-approved payments, now I went to the Paypal website and removed Xsolla from the pre-approved merchant list.

Is there anything else I should be doing?

I really don't understand, Paypal works fine and good alone previously, why do I have to go through another third party (one of ill-repute at that) just to buy packs from GGG?

I use a stand-alone PC client and not via Steam, so should I not be buying anything else until GGG sorts out this mess?

I've been buying supporter packs since 2.0 but I'm done purchasing as long as I have to go through Xsolla. I don't go through steam so that route is not an option for me. GGG I'm willing to support you but not if I feel uncomfortable about the payment method. Entertainment is not worth any kind of risk.

I wonder how many people who would have spent money on POE now won't?. Only the bottom line will tell.

Xsolla is notorious in the gaming community for selling your information for more money to spamsites, and they've been known to have various security leaks.

You have to grant that status if you want to use them. Even when you cancel, it says that if you ever want to deal with them again, you need that relationship.

Anyway, PP is a lot safer than your CC. For criminals to charge your card, all they need is the number. To make any transaction through PP would require your password, doesn’t matter if you’ve granted pre-approved status or not. Also, your get an email with the receipt so you’d know right away. The only to bypass that would be to directly hack your account and that’s a lot harder than just swiping your CC number. You’re A LOT safer using PP.
