yeah if u pull your mouse arrow to the skill gem, it states there crit chance is 5% which is low i know. Since the gem tag fall under the category of "spell" so crit with spells apply.

The skill is like a detonate dead but the corpse explosion damage is fixed at 3% from the corpse life. Higher lv mob got more life which is good but again the damage is fixed. Different mob got different life even thought they are on the same level. So dont ask me how much is the corpse life coz i dont know.

The damage that we can power up is the fireball created from the explosion. This is what matters the most. The one that can evaluate either u are worthy of the end game bosses or just for low level map.

It's clickbait indeed. 90% of playerbase play the temp leagues the first few weeks of release. You should at least have in title that it's standard only build.

75% conversion is a lot and almost as good as 100% already.
If u don't like then who ask u to play there.
The keyword is "improvise" instead of copying 100%.

So.... I am having a pretty good time with Volatile Dead. I have played for a long time (inception, actually) but cannot put a lot of time in so I rarely get all the way through to End Game anyway in any league. So League Play, Standard Play... pretty much all the same to me.

I was looking for a build that uses Chaos and Volatile Dead. Only found two builds that seemed to get there and this is one. I sort of get the argument about Standard play and needing to point that due to new players - hell, it is always New to ME... lol!

I will never get the max damage owing to the fact that I do not yet understand the integration of power charges in a blue gem build but I always tinker with the tree as I see fit anyway. So I will be adding Chaos and duration of effect passives instead. And why not? As stated... we improvise and play our own game. A build is a guide... not a mandate.

So... took me a while to get here but... Thank You. I like what you have put together and in Standard I actually have a F*ck Ton of gears (God help me I have 50 regular tabs, 8 quad tabs and all the specialty tabs and now they are all full again... I am a damned pack-rat!) So I probably can put this build together with all but the maxed Empower - which I am working on in the 'off' season between Leagues.

I think it is a bit harsh for Purists to belabor and argue when anyone puts the time and effort into a posting that they disagree with. Few do it. Fewer still do it well. I think it could have been handled better.

The salient point is that the post is well done, is creative and (yes, in Standard) viable for users who want to take a maxed out char they are bored with and revitalize it with something that uses the new skills and is, frankly, clever.

So... Thank you to the Post Author for the build. Thanks also to the Critic(s) that pointed out that the build should be used in Standard.

For New Players... Go ahead and use the build to learn the elements you might want to use to get good results. It does not use wildly esoteric gears - I bought the knives pretty cheaply on poe.trade and then used whetstones to get them to 20% each which then made it easier to socket/link and color how I wanted then (ok, they're only 3 sockets to link and so it was not strictly needed but certainly did not hurt).

A the end of the day... it is a Guide... not a mandate. Use what makes sense, and then do what you damned well please.
