I must say I do prefer the angsty, teenager-like posting of "oh man, next league looks so boring, I don't know if I will even play it" to the typical "get gud" posts. At least with these posts you get a lot more piling on either side (yeah, sucks! No way man, I am excited!)

Though adjusting drop tables for linear maps to favor the complex maps might also help.

And, changing the UI so that fog-of-war hinted about the size of the unexplored area behind it - I think that would really help, also.

(They might use color intensity - saturation and/or color value - to show [for example] the logarithm of the area of the connected unexplored territory behind the fog. [I think you need something like logarithm because of how our perception of vision works.])

People should understand by now that a new league is not just about the mechanic they add. The fresh economy, meta shift etc are all part of what people attracts. If you truly believe currency flipping in standard is gonna top a new league maybe you should take a break or something.

I actually enjoyed harbringer, mostly due to the extended story mode.

End game in PoE is for me grindy & monotonous. I can only do this much. I am burned out after palying for 3 months, & taking a break, & playing 'the other game' that shall not be named, in the new season, & enjoying so far.

Lucky me, I can enjoy more than one game of same genre.
