I hate a lot of pop culture stuff but I love things like Harlem Shake. It's like signs of a global culture emerging.

I think it's mentioned in the video, sure it might be fun doing silly stuff no argument from me about that, BUT why make a video of it and post it for all to see? Right because it's a lame fad.

Well yeah, sure, it's retarded.

I'm not actually sure why they wanted to post the video up. I hadn't even heard of Harlem Shake before that. But when the result was finished, it *was* pretty funny (and moreso than the original, now that I've seen it), so eh, why not? We all knew it was lame; that was actually part of the point, in a way.

But sure, people copying other people's idiocy just to try to be noticed ... yeah, I can see that as an entirely different thing. Like how everybody wants to be on TV. As if that makes their lives somehow important.
