Remove all exp gained from lab when die

But you ARE farming areas namely you are farming the lab,so ofc you are gonna be overleveled.
Stop farming normal and cruel lab it's useless anyway just do them once.
Btw you dont lose exp on normal and only 5% on cruel so dying doesn't realy mean that much in normal/cruel.

That's the point. I try to do and complete lab in one attempt BUT I die so many times trying to complete it. So as you clearly state, dying in this areas are not going to remove too much exp. And that is where my suggestion come in (remove all exp gained in this area unless you complete it).

PD: btw de-level recipe is for gem, not for characters.

Those are different recipes. There actually IS a Book of Regression to delevel your character.

From https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Book_of_Regression :
"Reduces your character level by one and resets your experience for that level to zero."

I would argue that it´s not a huge issue, though. If you are overleveled by that much, just rush through the current act and move on to the next. Sooner or later you´ll be forced into endgame mapping anyway, and what you currently experience is a good preview of what expects you past level 95 in terms of exp progression.

Anyhow, hope you keep enjoying the game and good luck !

=)
I can't quite make out if you are too high level or just too high.

This thread has a certain "what seems to be the officer problem?" vibe to it.

But that's the thing it's designed that way to not make it so punishing to new players when they die so early in the game. At normal you wont lose any exp when you die and only 5% in cruel content. Then of course merci or endgame content you will lose 10% which becomes ALOT later on when you are pushing 90+.

The issue here isnt losing or gaining exp in the lab the issue is you simply need to learn the mechanics of the lab to make it easier. Normal and Cruel lab have been nerfed to the point you can do those with little to no exp or gear. If you are dieing too much in either of these taking away all the exp you gain in them will NOT help anything if anything it will make it that much harder for you.

I suggest you look into poelab.com thats a great resource to help you learn mechanics of lab and make things so much easier. The layouts of the lab change everyday and this site is updated everyday to show each days layouts and what to look for and Izaro mechanics for each fight for that day. You could also ask a friend or guildmate to help you out with the runs and they might even be able to help show you what you are doing wrong. Changing mechanics with the game is never the solution to a player's problem.. 99% of the time it's the player who simply needs to adjust to fix their issue.
There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.
The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear.

Thanks all for answers and advice.
Finish game through rushing into act 10. Of course you'll die a lot.
Or just finish the acts not caring about loss in exp gain or drops and just get to maps where 98% of all drops and exp comes from in the first place.

What do you want us to do about this? Or you? De-lvl yourself, essentially wasting exp in order to... get more exp? What?

My inner Vulcan would very cross with you, had he not been trained to suppress all emotion.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.
