[3.2] Frost Blades, VARUNASTRA STILL AMAZING, 6.9k hp, 3mln dps

hey mate, this build looks neat. What are the main differences compared to a ranger frost blades build?
I can see you are using vaal pact, will this build still be viable in 3.1 ? (with a few adjustements of course)
Also, what would you recommend to leveling as passives, just take all scion nodes and straight to ranger after ascendency or respec some nodes?

I am also wondering if you have tried running this without VP

Of course, in the race Turmoil, I played without the VP, and no problems. I lvled to 90lvl two similar builds.
Ofc in 3.1 Facetanking is not is possilbe without Atziri's Acuity.

Rework of VP will not complicate the game, do not worry. You just will not be able to tank Shaper/Oldfag, it will be more interesting to play! =)

Just like the ranger, nice ;) (what i mean is that ranger frostblades seems to be viable without VP)
Any chance to get some help for a path of building during leveling?
I'm struggling a bit to find a proper find to join with the ranger tree, also some nodes are heavily depended on the end-game unique swords it seems, would like some advice on what to take instead if possible.

I will talk about this in detail after the race.
Also, a little rebuild after the release of all the unique items and the support gems.
But for 1-41lvl you can lvlup as default cleave-build (or sunder :D), after 41lvl you can use terminus(two handed sword)! Oh god, this sword is beautiful! ofc while you do not get the varunastra ;)

I saw a youtube video with some good explanations dated from a few months ago, guy wasn't using VP on his frostblade ranger (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9oqBR6RtRQ).
But if my memory is correct he couldn't clear past t16 though (maybe some gear missing?), he explained it in another video but can't find it.

Yes, i intend to play scion at 3.1 release (will rush the league with my mates) but i haven't played really played one before.
I started to play around a bit, to get a feeling of the class, but i miss some tips on how to manage the scion passive tree during leveling.
Will look into the builds you are talking about :) how much nodes do you have to respec after that?

What do you mean by do no bother about this after uber lab? :o

Tried frost blade until lvl ~15-20ish, seems to do ok during leveling, don't know if the speed is equivalent to other builds though


Also, i understand the shield for traps but what about the other one in the unique core items, what is its purpose?
