[3.0] Doomfletch Pathfinder | 400%+ Movespeed | Best map clearer | Videos | Guardians down

(terrible filler screenshot)

Before you read the guide, this part will be a quick summary of this build, I highly suggest u read it.
For those who are fairly new, clearing builds are generally seen as a better currency maker than boss killing in this game.

This build is meant for extremely fast map clearing, so we will focus largely on movement speed while still maintaining high enough damage for bosses. T1-15 maps are very easy, with a few exceptions from T15 bosses. Hardest content this build can do is probably Guardians and content of similar difficulty. You can do these content deathless, but you probably won't since you will have to dodge most of the attacks, guardians videos below are a good indication of play style versus harder bosses.

Things to know before u decide
- Not an end game boss killer
- Extremely fast map clearer (I might say fastest?)
- Not budget friendly, hence not recommended as league starter (20ex will get you started)
- Not hardcore viable, though very survivable.

I suggest you read the whole guide before you start your character as there is important information in most sections.

Changelog
Major changes to the guide will be listed here, such as gear and skill tree changes.

8/10/2017
- Skill tree altered, all skill points to the left of Jewel slot near Vaal Pact was removed, points are used to get Flask Effect near witch. (See skill tree for exact tree)

Gear related
Gear choices and explanation

All enchantment, vaal implicits and possible upgrades are included.

Weapon

Either this or Queen of the Forest is required to be a 6L.

This bow provides the power of a wander while being cheaper. With it's unique stat "Gain 110% of Bow Physical Damage as Extra Damage of each Element", it effectively quadruples all flat increase to physical damage and all % increase is very efficient.

Body Armour

"+1 Level of Socketed Gems" would be the very last thing i get on this build.

Queen of the Forest in conjunction with our flask set up and skill tree gives us an insane amount of movement speed which is what gives us our tremendous clear speed.

Quiver

The vaal implicit "Adds an additional arrow" should be one of your last priorities when upgrading, considering the price to damage ratio.

This quiver is simply the best for most physical bow builds, even more so for this particular build, since our arrow has pierce from skill tree and as stated in "Weapon", flat physical damage is by far the most valued stat for this build. Also has much needed life and evasion for more movement speed.

Helmet

Take note that the enchantment "+2 secondary tornado shot projectile" is mandatory on either choice. If you are really on a budget you can use "+40% tornado shot damage".

Rat's nest is by far the best choice for this build, with all stats highly desirable, but with the enchantment it is very expensive.

This is why the budget option comes in, Devoto's Devotion gives up some damage for 10% more MS, but more importantly it is much more affordable.

Gloves

Mods priorities
Must have:
- Life
- Resistances (if they are not capped from your other gear)
- Strength (if you require it)

Recommended:
- Attack speed
- Physical damage
- Accuracy
- Hybrid armour/life roll
- Life leech

OK (but kind of useless):
- Any elemental damage
- Increased rarity
- Increased evasion and armour

Gloves is a pretty important slot for us since it is one of the 4 non-unique items in this build. Its purpose is to solve resistance and stat problems, which is the main reason i chose these pair over gripped gloves, since u cannot roll strength on gripped gloves.

Note: If you do not have stat problems or you would prefer to get them from jewels, you can opt for gripped gloves.

Boots
This is probably the slot that requires the most personal decisions. But i will give you some reasons and reasons not to get each option.

Enchantments:
- +1 to Maximum Frenzy Changes
- 16% increased Attack and Cast Speed if you've Killed Recently (Better)

These are the only 2 options. These apply to any boots you choose unless you are choosing resistance boots.

Reasons to:
- Most movement speed
- High amounts of evasion
- Good amount of life
- Extremely cheap

Reasons not to:
- No resistances (only a problem if your resistances are not capped)
- No stats (only a problem if you need stats)
- No increase damage of any kind

Three-Step Assault is probably the best over all choice for this build, it gives the most movement speed out of all the boots (by around 25%). The lack of damage is very minimal compared to other items and I would only consider something else if I don't have the required resistances/stats. (But once again this slot is really up to personal preference.)

Reasons to:
- Will net highest amount of total evasion
- Increased block chance for spells
- High amount of life

Reasons not to:
- No resistances (only a problem if your resistances are not capped)
- No stats (only a problem if you need stats)
- No increase damage of any kind

These boots are very similar to Three-Step Assault, but it trades some of the movement speed for extra defense. I find that the build has enough defensive capabilities to survive most things so I think this would be a close second choice behind Three-Step Assault.

Reasons to:
- Can solve resistances/stat problems, therefore less strain on other non-unique gear, hence lower overall cost of the build
- Can have the most life

Reasons not to:
- Lower movement speed
- No increase damage of any kind (unless u get the 4-12% wed, not recommended)

I would recommend these for players who are on a budget and cannot afford steel rings with resistances. Otherwise, if your resistances/stats are capped i do not see a reason to use rare boots.

Note: Honestly there's still a lot of unique boots you can incorporate into the build, but I'll keep it short. If I think of other major ones I'll add them, otherwise just do what u want.

Belt

Same as our boots slot there are a lot of choices, but a decision can be made much easier, so i won't give a long list of pros and cons.

Mods priorities
Must have:
- Life
- Resistances (if they are not capped from your other gear)
- Strength (if you require it)

Recommended:
- Increased elemental damage

OK:
- Reduced flask charges used
- Increased flask effect duration

Rustic Sash is the best choice out of all the rare belts as it gives % phys which increases all elemental damage dealt by Doomfletch Prism. Similar to gloves, this slot is also used to solve resistance and stat problems, although only strength can be rolled. This is probably the option for almost everyone.

It wouldn't be a clear speed build without some Headhunter action, there isn't any justification needed for this item, but when combined with this build it is absolutely deadly. On top of that it has a lot of much needed strength. Since it has no resistances it would require your other rares to be a lot better (but if u have a Headhunter, you probably already do).

Note: It is completely optional and the build will still zoom through maps, but it's just for a bit of fun.

Once again there are a lot of other unique belts that are viable which I won't list here.

Rings

Mods priorities
Must have:
- T2+ increased elemental damage
- T2+ flat physical damage

Recommended:
- Resistances (if they are not capped from your other gear)
- Life
- Strength
- Accuracy

OK (but u don't really want these in the case of multi-modding):
- Increased attack speed
- % Increased fire/cold/light damage
- Flat increased fire/cold/light damage
- Life leech
- Increased item rarity

I would categorize steel ring as a mandatory item to the build, I wouldn't attempt to start the build without them, although u could try with iron ring.

As to what type of steel ring to get, the best option would be to buy a steel ring with the only 2 required mod on them and multi-mod the ring to what you need. (My first ring is a good example, without the fire resistance.)

Or if you are trying to min-max this build you could spend 20-50ex on a ring with 4 good stat on it. There really isn't a cap on how much u can spend on a steel ring, just do as you wish.

Amulet

If for some reason you're running a clear speed build without Bisco's Collar, stop. For general mapping this item will increase your profit immensely. Since this build is not made for end game bosses anyway I don't see why there should be another choice.

I suppose if you really disagree with me on Bisco's Collar, you could use any generic crit amulet with life, resistance and flat phys. I won't add one for now, maybe in the future.

Flasks

Silver Flask: Silver Flask with Three-Step Assault provides huge amount of movement speed and attack speed is always nice. I got my curse immunity on my silver flask because it has the longest duration out of all the flasks.

Stibnite, Jade and Quicksilver Flask: When in effect these 3 combine to give 200%+ movement speed. All of these should be rolled with 25% increased effect (Alchemist's) to give maximum movement speed. Bleed removal, increased movement speed and % increased evasion should be rolled on these 3, which one rolls on which does not matter too much.

Dying Sun: With our helm enchantment this flask is a must and will add 12 projectiles per attack.

Jewels

Lioneye's Fall: To convert claw nodes on right side of the tree to bow nodes which includes much needed life leech.

Conqueror's Potency: Just for more movement speed.

Mod priorities for rare jewels:
Highly recommended:
- Life
- Resistances (if not already capped)
- Strength (if you don't have required amount)

Useful:
- Projectile damage
- Damage
- Attack speed (more desirable if it has "with bows")
- Physical damage (more desirable if it has "with bows")
- Global Critical Strike Chance
- Global Critical Strike Multiplier

Currently these rare jewels with 4 useful mods are extremely expensive and quite hard to find ones that suit you. If you're on a budget i would look for jewels that has life,res/stat and then 1 useful mod.

Current gear

Gear upgrade prioritisation
This section will be a good idea on what gear you should upgrade next. The list will be from most to least important, with the cost taken into account. Some of these would be minor improvements, especially as you get towards the end. Most of these are best in slot upgrades. I will assume you only have the bare minimum.

-Well rolled uniques (excluding Headhunter)
Especially the weapon and chest

- Helm Enchant "+2 secondary tornado shot projectile"
Many people are trying the build without this enchant and I have to emphasize again, that this enchant is extremely good for both single and multi target.

- Boots Enchant "16% increased attack and cast speed if you've killed recently"
Not as important as the helm enchant but this enchant is fairly cheap and boost damage greatly.

- Well rolled flasks
A difference between a 20% and 30% increase movement speed flask is quite big, and also quite cheap to upgrade.

*This is probably where you end the build if you don't want to spend an insane amount of currency.

- Well rolled steel rings
The bare minimum for these would need T1 flat phys and T1 ele damage. You should upgrade these to give you the res you need as soon as possible to get ready for the lack of res from Headhunter.

- Headhunter
I personally think this item is a bit over hyped on how powerful it is, I won't go in depth into why here. If we are just talking about value to clear speed ratio, this item probably isn't worth it, but if you add the fun factor it probably is. (Please don't flame me for this.)

- 4 Good mod jewels
With bow jewels being extremely overpriced at the moment I don't think it's worth it to get them too early.

- 1 Additional arrow Drillneck (optional)
The reason I put this here is because I don't think this is much of an upgrade, but some people seem to think it is. With it we fire 8 arrows and pierce 2 targets, without we fire 7 arrows and pierce 3 targets. Personally I think the increase from 2 to 3 pierce is better than 7 to eight arrows.

*This is probably where you end the build if you don't want to mortgage your house.

- Bisco's Collar with "Enemies can have 1 additional curse"
Curses are just very good. I would slot projectile weakness. This will give a huge dps increase.

- Doomfletch Prism with 1 additional arrow

- Extremely good steel rings
Shoutout to my "Pandemonium Knuckle Steel Ring", 2 of these will allow you to use Atziri's Acuity (see below). Accuracy and life is also extremely good.

- Atziri's Acuity (Really not sure about this, only try it if you have the money or already have a pair)
This is the most theoretical upgrade of the build, but i think it would be better. You can then unspec a load of points near vaal pact and get more damage or life.

- Queen of The Forest with "+1 Level of socketed gems"
A well rolled and 6 linked one will be extremely hard to get and will give about 5% damage increase.

*When you have reached this point you can pat yourself on the back for completing the build in almost every aspect possible.

-Perfect roll everything

Skills tree related
Bandits
Alira

The reason that Alira is better than 2 skill points is because Alira provides a lot of resistance that is very much needed and provides a good amount of critical multiplier as well. If you look at the final tree there isn't much that 2 skill points will get you.

Main Skill Tree

The progress of the skill tree is only suggested. You can balance between damage, life and movement speed according to your need. Especially on Vaal Pact and Acrobatics.

Ascendancy
Master Alchemist > Veteran Bowyer > Nature's Adrenaline

Pantheon
Major: Soul of Arakaali with Captured Shadow of the Vaal
Minor: Soul of Garukhan with Captured Rek'tar or Soul of Gruthkul with Captured Legius Garhall

Pantheon is very underwhelming (no surprise), but the major god will allow you to face tank Spider Forest boss easily which is what I farm 90% of the time.

Skill gems
Links
This build requires at least 1 6L either on weapon or chest. This build has no problem dealing damage or stay alive in maps, so a lot of gem slots are not used, but you could use something like immortal call/CWDT setup, but i just like to use them as gem leveling slots and portal.
6L Main attack

The only attack skill we'll be using is Tornado shot it has amazing single and multi target damage, most of the support gems are pretty generic, but we chose to use Chance to Bleed because it gives us a lot of flat physical damage.

4L Curse and Aura

We use Herald of Ice because we have extremely high shatter chance and when linked with Assassin's Mark it will allow us to generate power charges while having a Lightning Arrow like effect, which clears large pacts just as quick as small packs, as 1 arrow could set off a chain reaction of shatters that'll kill a whole pack.

4L Utility

Ice Golem is by far the best out of all the golems, not much explanation needed.

Blood Rage is needed for frenzy charge generation.

Blink Arrow linked with Faster Attack will allow you to dodge some bosses AOE attack easily and just generally travel up to another level. There's no need to use this to move around faster.

Miscellaneous

Portal gem is just very nice when you are doing a lot of maps in a row and not needing to worry about scrolls.

Bits of information
Map mods to avoid
Another advantage of this build is that it can do Temporal Chains (and any other curses) maps easily since you have 100% up time of flask (even with reduce flask charges mod) which means curses will won't have any effect.

Completely avoid:
- Cannot leech
- Reflect elemental damage

Note: Reflect physical is easily doable, since only a very small portion of your damage is physical.

The videos below are old, while i was on my old skill tree and didn't have Headhunter, but it should give a good idea of the build. Will add new ones soon.

FAQ
- How do you get spikes explosion?
It's an MTX called Gloom Herald

- Why is my tooltip DPS so low?
Generally in this game you should just ignore tooltip DPS, but especially when you're using Doomfletch Prism, since it doesn't count the "Gain 110% of Bow Physical Damage as Extra Damage of each Element", so all elemental damage is not counted into tooltip and all our damage is pretty much elemental.

Note: This post is not completed and I'll update it with stuff in the future, but the main structure of the guide is usable.

Yeah str/int gain is actually one of the hardest things to get in this build and it makes gear selection very hard. So main ways that i get them is:

- Gloves
- Rings
- Belts (heavily recommended to get on belt)
- Jewels (also heavily recommended)
- Amulet (not recommended as u want to use biscos)

Lets start with str, so u as ranger you start with 14, on the tree you'll grab 30 (total:44). The target for this build is 114 int. So you'll have to balance 70 between your gear. I suggest doing this in 2 slots.

For int, int is much easier to get without gear since we move upwards in the skill tree. The top right nodes contains alot of int, and the jewel slot on top right should be gotten via int route rather than the dex route.

But all the above is just end game trees, if your problem is with early game while leveling, i would put on an agate amulet. Grab "primal spirit" node and respec when u dont need it, and just have int/str in your general gear.

That is some addictive movespeed you got there. It would be hard to play anything under 220 MS after this.

hey nice build! just had a couple questions for ya

1. whats making the ice crystals come from the ground when ur spamming tornado shot is it a cosmetic or something? cause ive ran thru everything and dont think im missing anything and my herald of ice doesnt look like tht

2. do you think this build would work with any other main skill besides tornado shot and your thoughts

you can take a look at my profile if youd like and tell me what you think im kinda using this build more as a magic find build so i have a lil less damage using 2 ventor's rings, biscos, and quality boots, but i get to use a HH so its still awesome and very fast.

thanks again for takin the time and GL

1.MTX called gloom herald
2.What level maps are u using this build on, but i doubt it'll work for higher tiers. It's not just "a lil less damage", steel rings give huge dps increase. There's also a few useless points that u got from the skill tree. Why do you connect through above vaal pact when u can connect through the right with +6% life. Right of vaal pact why did u get that bunch of claw nodes, that 1 single major node isn't worth 4 points. Points on the left of vaal pact to get the crit for 6 points is also not worth.
This build fits for uberlab?

no
Respected into this build from a different Doomfletch build, really liking it so far only issue is I have like 3.7k life but i have HH so it's not too bad. Good job.
Like the build so far ! The clear speed is satisfying , though 4K hp now is a little bit uncomfortable for me. Got a few questions here:

1.Can you check my profile and suggest what gear to upgrade next? Right now I found it takes long for me to kill T13+ bosses , will the +2 secondary tornado shot projectile Rat's nest matters a lot or I should get the +1 arrow drillneck first?

2.Right now I'm using 6L barrage on QOTF for killing boss , how is it compared to +2 secondary tornado shot when it comes to single target?

Thanks for the build!
