Xbox trading continues to deliver the laughs
Aside from any scammers/bots....Adding a chat would help with the newb prices on the trade board. Cant blame new console players for having no idea whats good and whats not. I see the same stuff you do and laugh, but I dont go off on a rant about xbox this and pc that....
When i was new, i had no idea that the vast majority of stuff is not worth anything. Just give them time.....and CHAT!!!!! (GGG wtf....how is that not in game already) |

So in my experience people either don't know the approximate value of certain thing or are trying to scam.
When you refuse to sell me a xophs heart for 18 ex because the other guy is asking for 25 you know they just don't know. It's really frustrating dealing with these people. You know that they are just scared to loose out on muns. Last edited by BokkoTheBunny#6135 on Sep 27, 2017, 2:10:57 PM

" Right. So, as usual, "noobs", "idiots", etc. is simply shorthand for "I can't afford something." Gotcha. As mentioned above, items are "worth" exactly what someone is willing to pay. If people are actually pricing things too high, the price will drop. |

The problem also is that there is no discernible way to determine what chaos ratios are on Xbox.
I can go look up exalts for sale, for example, and you have a ton that have no price on them and a wild range of chaos per exalt. There is a few people that think exalts are 56 chaos each and some that think they are 80c each. Then you get the random wild cards that price at 30c and 100c. With a byzantine currency system, it has to be easy to at least discern value of the items being bartered. Typically on the PC version, we can use things like poe.ninja or even go to currency.poe.trade to determine what the approximate price is on an exalt. At the end of the day, Xbox trading is bascially where you go to find some uniques or specific item bases you need. Min/Max rares? fuck that. Jewels with specific stats? fuck that. It's a weird hybrid of trade + ssf. The market also natrually slows itself down because currency must be "stored" in the trade. So I can't look for two items at once, for example, if I have 3 exalts and am looking for 2 different 3 exalt items. The current trading system feels okayish for early/mid game... but late game feels awful and somewhat hopeless. You just relegate yourself to "good enough" gear and pray you'll find or roll stats on a rare that you can use as an upgrade. For the casual player, I'm sure they will see no problems with the xbox trading...for those that want a truly "create-the-best-character-I-can" experience...they just won't be satisfied. |

Enmity Divine would be 1.5ex+ if it was an axe or sword, its like a 450 dps high crit 2h with free general leech gem and a random pretty massive buff. Only reason its cheap AF is nobody plays staff lol even heges are pretty cheap usually these days.

I think I have to agree with shags on this one. It's easy when we have been playing for years and have that experience to understand the mechanics surrounding the game and the items that drop in it. New players have so much to learn, a lot more then we ever had to. We gradually had concepts thrown at us while xbox players who are new literally have every mechanic to learn.
Before api systems and poe.trade.. finding the worth of something was rather difficult unless you were watching streamers like kripp or browsed forums. Neither of which have much to do with playing the game. It's pretty easy nowadays to just go into poe.trade and look up an item but GGG haven't included that in game at all... nor have that even advertised it anywhere, not even in the help menu. Xbox players could use poe.trade to maybe judge an item but the economy is probably a tad different on xbox than what we have been used to for many leagues/expansions now. It may be the case that the xbox version is a new game essentially. I don't know if many PC players are flocking to play it on xbox but if that isn't the case then it really is just that. I don't think players should have to read a 185 page text book to play. GGG could do a much better job of teaching players about game and especially trade. I think it might be a tad naive to just label xbox players like that.. I know if I just started poe today without any knowledge... I'd be pretty lost for awhile to. " Being mad at GGG for the state of trading is fine and all but getting all mad at new players is weird. This is a complicated and obscure game, new players don't have much help in figuring out buying and selling prices. There is no global chat on xbox. " Alas you didn't put the small amount of effort required to not look like a fool when betting on a different economy..... RIP |

" so spiteful... and just to inform you we dont fucking care about xbox | |
" Come on, 450 dps is somewhat decent for a 1h weapon but for a 2h weapon it's horrible. German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
