I thought immune were going to get removed???

I can understand why some things cant be frozen and I can live with that. Recently I just came up with something that requires targets to be chilled to maximize my potential in dps and survivability. I thought with 3.0 they were removing immunity to everything pretty much. It's sad I could do technically Shaper but not Atziri for example because I can't just simply chill her or any of the bosses in the map ( no need to freeze.) This is just chill though, then you have ignites, shocks, and other effects not really worth mentioning because I'm guessing some people are going to just be rude versus actually discuss why it has to be like this. I loathe the immune mechanic, they gimp alot of creativity and that is the main reason why I started playing POE so many years ago.
My personal thought is GGG is trying to make the game a bit simpler. So forcing players to make something from a smaller pool of ideas is less overwhelming on both the player and staff of GGG. Compared to having a huge ocean of possibilities leaving some players confused to the point of leaving (less money for GGG), and the staff overwhelmed with trying to "balance or maintain" the game. Firs things first.
GGG does not create bosses with the intent of it being viable for every single niche build then community comes up with. With that being said, is there anyway you can make changes in your build so that it becomes more viable? I'm pretty sure Shaper is immune to freeze and chill, as well as all the other status ailment effects. Correct me if i'm wrong here I can't remember. Maybe it's just freeze. The bosses are not Immune to cold damage or fire damage. They do however, take significantly less elemental damage and have higher resists. Ah just double checked the wiki: Version [Collapse] Changes 3.0.0 Many unique monsters which were previously immune to Ailments have had their immunities removed, with the exception of Freeze. Ya, when I saw that announced I was excited about the lifting of immunities. Shaper cannot be frozen but he can be chilled yes and all guardians I believe can be chilled but 1 I think. I need to do the guardians and everything and double check again. As with the beyond demons, the trio, the midnight dudes and Atziri pretty positive you still cannot even chill them. I could probably search for a total list of bosses that are immune but I'm just wanted to point out how this really does gimp creativity and also hurts more builds than people want to admit. I've seen responses where people just flat out told people to get over it and stop whining because these immunities aren't really hurting anyone.

It's ironic your name is lowbudget780 haha because the build is super lowbudget. I don't really want to share exactly what it is that I'm doing because I believe it's a possible build of the week submission. The fact still remains that the build will be gimped against immunities though.

they did remove immunities im pretty sure, if you can't chill a target its because you aren't doing sufficient damage to hit the threshold (same as shock) use AA or AB to put them on chilled ground or evaluate how to get your chill threshold high enough to land one.

Yes, I'm aware I have to post a build guide for it. I don't want to announce it on here and then someone else ends up taking credit for it if it works. The threshold for the chill isn't the problem, I just don't deem a build successful if I can't do all the content in the game.

Having a target chilled will literally double if not quadruple my damage while also providing more life leech. The freezing doesn't matter because I don't require a target to be frozen for any extra damage, or leech etc.

" Hypothermia, maybe? With additional increased damage against chilled enemies via various jewels and uniques. There IS damage to get from the "chilled" effects in this game. A lot of damage. TS: Chill effect and chill duration will make it easier to chill high life bosses. As said previously in the thread, if you do not chill a boss, it's mainly because your damage is too low.
