The complexity of Path of Exile

And the scrolls is something i want to talk about too. I have always at least 40 Scrolls in my inventory, so the teleportation is no problem (Except for the Gameflow-Interruption), why do they exist? It is no big deal at all but why don't handle them like the heal-flasks. Unlimited of use, but with a cooldown. That would make the thing a bit easier.
My Mainproblem is the lack of explanation. The Game is a lot different from Diablo 3. Like the greater Loot-Chest, where enemy spawns when you activate them. You can pay some kind of currency for special effects but which currency? I always klick through my whole inventory to find the right thing. Sometimes i can use Scrolsl of Wisdom one time, sometimes several times. Thats just one thing that did not explained.

You can actually give up 1 of your gem slots for "Portal" gem, that can summon portal to town and has unlimited uses. However, most players dont want to spend 1 gem slot for that, because gem slots are kinda valuable.
I agree with you, although managing portal and wisdom scrolls at lower levels can be exciting, when you reach endgame, you get so much of those scrolls, that you dont pick up most of them, even. Even items like Transmutation/Augmentation orbs come in huge abundance, and although sometimes they're useful, you dont need THAT many, never.

That's an example of bad complexity. Most players just get used to it, and only a fresh look from new Xbox platform users can put a lot of fresh feedback to PoE and make it better, perhaps.

There is no knowledge
That is not power
Its complex, but that complexity starts to "wear off" when you realize that armor and evasion are both ineffective, you choose what type of armor based on what colored sockets you need and nothing else, life pool is the only real defense, mind over matter is the best secondary defense, and your gear needs high rolls on +life and all resists, occupying most stats on your prefered rare gear. Also for movement skills its either shield charge, whirling blades, or a bad time. Boots must have a decent movement mod. Amulet has the two off stats on it...your one type of damage on weapon...basically i have my stash full of rare gear that works with any build so long as the color sockets are easily rolled to my link set up....that shouldnt be the case.

Complexity in the uniques but are so very build specific i almost never use unique drops and they just pile up every league unused waiting to be sent back to standard league in a remove only tab. i am never excited to see a unique item drop...id rather thave a rare item with max roll life and three resists on it.

They have a lot of tools at their disposal to create some fantastic complexity, but the path of the game seems to be shoehorning it into some very specific builds with gear and passive tree (scion life node no matter what for example). Sometimes i wonder if another simpler game has greater build diversity and gear itemization...and right now im convinced it does.

GGG needs to unleash the complexities potential. Stop shoehorning some interesting build mechanics into extremely rare and expensive uniques, and make the variety possible a real choice rather than a given best route no matter what skills your using. I want the choice of going armor or evasion and having it matter, which then opens up some keystones that are sort of novelties for extra skill points once you've hit every life node possible...resists occupy so much space and are so very required on my gear, i need high roll life on everything. my one damage type on the weapons...this is all the same for most builds that dont require an insanely rare and expensive unique...it shouldnt be like this.
just for try, for see and for know

Thanks for the Answers.

@鬼殺し Yeah, i posted this there too and the response was some kind of ... disgusting.

@MortalKombat3 Yeah, i hope they make it better. I would love to have an offline-Mode. Here in Europe we have many different bandwidth so i have some lags here and there.
