" Seeing as he's getting mollywhopped then yeah it's a necessity for him (and things are only going to get tougher afterwards so he might as well throw it on now). I personally don't use VP because I prefer to go full YOLO Swaggins mode, along with feeling it should either receive the CI treatment or be removed altogether, but I can't deny that it makes the game a hell of a lot easier. Currently being stalked around these forums by some clowns who caught feelings over being called out at being grossly inept at their job.

It sounds like your hp is just too low, I just got past Deodre on first try with about 3400hp and got hit by a bunch of those bubbles, easly lived and all my res. including armor really suck (50% fire is best I have and that's with Purity of Elements), I didn't even know you can remove the curses wich almost put me to a complete stop by the end.
Going all in on dodge doesn't seem like a smart idea since even with proper res. and hp there are plenty of things in this game that can insta kill you, so with evasion you're pretty much putting your fate entirely in the hands of RNG. (who is a complete d**k in this game) |

" Get more life. Seriously, if you are getting killed in "one shot" that is actually one shot and not just felt like it while leveling through the chapters, and it isn't because of ignoring some clearly telegraphed boss special attack, then the overwhelming likelihood is that you have too little life on your gear or too few maximum life% nodes on your tree or both. It is very, very, common for people new to POE to underestimate how important a strong life pool is (and ES for ES based builds), so as a guess that is your culprit. If you want to get gear recommendations set your profile to allow your characters to be viewed by other people. |

So I guess I'm just going to have to grind for better gear. Not sure how well this is going to go since I basically need to find the same stuff that I'm using now but with better life mods on it.
I tried using currency to craft better gear but ended up with nothing lol rip my wealth |

" How do you only have 1.3k life in Act 8? Also never use currency to craft gear while leveling, if you do want to craft during the leveling process then use Essences that way you can use your currency later to buy things you'll have for a while. Just look for some cheap rares/uniques to fill out your stats (you need capped resists and a solid health pool) so you can make it through the story and get to the part of the game that matters. Damn, honestly with these kind of stats its actually pretty impressive that you've made it that far. I have 3-4 times that dps with Rsolute Technique and the bosses still take quite a while to take down, congrats.
