[Not quite 3.7] A Simple Cleaver (Beginner friendly, SSF-viable, Much Explanation)

This build is for version 3.0, why is it labeled [Not Quite 3.7] and posted in the updated guides? Why not just label it what it is?

It is for 3.0 to 3.6, because nothing this build uses was changed during that time.
If it's written for 3.0 but is literally 100% compatible with 3.6, same efficiency, same everything, why not say it is 3.6?

There were changes in 3.7 that did influence the skill tree, so it was not 100% direct translateable, which is why it's "not quite 3.7", because in theory it still works just fine, you just have to slightly change the skill tree (which I'm too lazy to do)

Why is it in updated? I have no idea.
Maybe because sometimes someone still tries it and likes it even if it's slightly outdated?

Personally I'm surprised it even gets the occasional post/question.

You can say that with all of the builds from 3.0, pretty much all the old skill points are still there in 3.7. It wastes our time looking up old builds, just change it to say 3.0.

So... this build works 100% the same in every aspect for 3.0 up to 3.6. (Skill tree AND skill itself)
If I did create it in 3.1, with exactly the same things, it would be 3.1 and not 3.0? And it would then also not be 3.6?
And if I would happen to create it in 3.6 it would then be 3.6?

I thought the version number for builds would not be about the creation-version but the functionality of the build.
And as stated, it works exactly the same for 3.0 up to 3.6
I am just getting into PoE and thought that this build may be a nice way to start out as I learn the ropes in the game rather then continue with my random bow build that isn't get that far. At least I know I will have something that will make it to endgame.

One issue I am running into is that the linked skill trees in the guide don't seem to be working at all. I can view the tree blank (on the website) but the linked ones hit 100% load and stop. Do the links need to be updated or are there alternatives to view them (such as Path of Building)?

Thanks!

This build is a bit on the older side, so the skill tree for this build does not quite match the one that's on the live system.

It was originally created in 3.0 and nothing changed until 3.7 where the Skill Tree in the area was reworked a bit.

I updated the (lvl 90) tree roughly to the current skill tree.

You can also load the trees into Path of Building, although you would see a few missing spots somewhere in some trees (because the points have been moved)

But even though the build is old, it should still function well enough to keep you entertained and learn a bit.
