Lightning Scorpion Pet

I don't think the price on the lightning scorpion pet is outrageous at all. Nor do I think it looks dated or unworthy of the dollar amount today. But I also don't see the age, quality, or production cost of the pet as relevant to the price in the shop.

As I argued years ago, there should be price tiers for pets that keep some out of reach of most people either because they can't afford them or because they can't justify their cost. The price tiers create a natural rarity and when you see these rare pets in-game it can be as exciting as a rare currency drop. I also argued that the lightning scorpion didn't go far enough in terms of price and that there should be even more costly pets, but that hasn't happened officially unless you count the RoW pets as well as the points shop. Of course, I haven't seen the numbers to know just how many lightning scorpions were sold relative to the other tiers so perhaps the numbers for a higher priced pet wouldn't have sold enough to justify creating a new skin.

I think the spectral basilisk could have been positioned above the lightning scorpion in terms of price and the spectral skin used generally for the premium pet tier on the most popular bases. Doesn't mean that I would be able to justify purchasing these pets, personally, but they'd be cool to see from time to time.

GGG went most wrong for me in support packs by making their mtx increasingly ostentatious with price. Many of the armour packs clash with the mostly dark and gritty or polished game world and these I actually hope not to see in-game despite their rarity. Remember the good old UO days where pure white cloth was so valuable? There's money in subtle.

I don't think the Lightning Scorpion is worth the 1100 points because it doesn't look that special compared to the other Scorpions on shop. I could see more people buying super expensive pets if they really stood out in their visuals, to assert more exclusivity.

Personally, I would expend 1100 points in a dat boi frog in game.

I will pay 110bucks for a Taylor Swift Lookalike companion that sing her random songs. 110 for a tiny scorpion?

I support GGG & will pay for good value MTX, & this is pushing it too far. IMO, this seem a marketing experiance to see how far people will spend for pets.
