About 3.0
Brutus' Lead Sprinkler changed in 3.0. It's damage were buffed by around 40% but can now only add fire locally instead of globally. Because of this there's no point in dual-wielding these maces anymore and instead use a shield for more defense and offense. This works very well because of the Lycosidae shield that gives us a 100% chance to hit, completely negating the effect of accuracy rating.
Explanation
In this build we're using a unique mace called Brutus' Lead Sprinkler. What this mace does is that it gives us 4-7 fire damage to attacks per 10 strength we have. By stacking a massive amount strength that fire damage becomes extremely menacing.

This is the item that gives us all our damage. It is mandatory for the build to work. These gloves gives us a nice boost to our strength to further increase our fire damage. These boots gives % increased strength which is a huge bonus for our total strength. The movement speed is also nice. This shield has a special property "Your Hits Can't Be Evaded" which gives us a 100% to hit, completely removes the use for any accuracy rating whatsoever. This amulet is purely used to squeeze out that extra bit of DPS. It gives us % increased strength and fire penetration which increases DPS significantly. The property "Cover enemies in ash when they hit you" also further increases our DPS by 20%. This item should pretty much be the last item you get for this build because of it's price.

The unique jewel Wildfire gives us 2 extra projectiles to our Molten Strike. Therefore 2 of these should be used. Other rare jewels should just be prioritized on having as much % maximum life and damage increases as possible.

Why Herald of Ash? You don't do any noticeable physical damage to actually benefit from it. Would be much better to drop it in favour of Anger.
Also, Ancestral Protector should scale your damage better than Warchief, particularly for bosses. | |

You don't know how to build Sprinkler.. My crit version has twice more damage and leech + as much life .
The point of lycosidae is to go crit vp and get extremely high dps. I do sub 10-15 seconds 140%+map minotaurs. and shaper is a joke. btw you don't really need to swap out MS in the crit version.. sunder is in a 4L or 5L essence crafted. Last edited by Jeantomic on Aug 26, 2017, 4:48:22 AM

GNeiva, the only reason I use herald of ash is because it helps with clearing maps faster. For that reason it really shouldn't be used on bosses. I didn't even think of anger but it might just work, I will try to get into that and update when I've tested it! Thank you. gopotan, thank you for the suggestion, they only reason I really use faster attacks is because it helps with sunder, when I switch it for conc effect the area of sunder becomes way too small to be even usefull. But for bossing in general this could serve as a enormous DPS boost especially combined with Point Blank on the skill tree. It will however only be used for bosses because it's area won't be even merely enough to kill monsters fast in maps. I will get back once I've tested it! Jeantomic, I would like to see your path of building with that build. I always though that changing to crit would lower my survivability substantially. Also if you go crit, you don't benefit from the elemental overload passive and I just don't see any way of getting a reliable enough crit chance and still have a high enough multiplier. | |

Alright, from the testing that I did the results I got was this:

Hey nice build! Is there any way you can update the tree with the pointblank addition? I want to see how you go there. Also a Taming ring looks like it would be good on this build no?
