Got rota scammed, what now?
Rota scams happen almost daily to me, sometimes multiple times per day. Problem is all the new players in 3.0. Pre 3.0 rota scams were rare and most of the time were honest dc's or mistakes. In 3.0 however the scams are common on lower master rotas. On T7+ they seem to get less.
The most common scam is players joining a rota with a lower lvl master than promised now that linking deco items no longer works. Ignore lists are not big enough to put them onto and there is (or at least was) no rule from GGG that makes rota scamming punishable. Naming and shaming in global has a chance of getting YOU punished and not the offender indeed. However naming&shaming him ONCE with the entire party usually doesn't get you any reports. I wish GGG would implement a better LFG/LFM system for master/map rota's to prevent scams and whatnot. But this probably will never happen, ever. |

If you're feeling vindictive, find him on poe.trade, make him an offer he won't refuse for some item, burn his portals, and make sure he knows why.
