[3.0] VP DP OP - Dark Pact Berserker - New Minotaur Facetank Video

Nice Guide - i like it!
One Question: You dont list Atziri's Acuity Vaal Gauntles & The Retch: too expensive or it just makes no sense?

Since the build has been reworked, Acuity isn't actually better than getting more life and res on your gloves.

The Retch is limited by your max life unless you're a slayer, so it doesn't actually do a lot of damage for us. It's pretty much a slayer only unique.

By the way, I don't always respond to posts like these, but that doesn't mean I don't see them or that they don't make my day. They make me happy and I'm glad you guys like the build. Thanks everyone for your support.
Playing this build @ level 61, noticing that if a boss doesn't hit hard enough to "savage hit" me, I can't life steal enough even with health pots to keep myself alive, often having to return to town a couple times to refresh flasks.

Is this typical, or does it get better as I get more damage to the point where its almost not noticeable? Or generally do bosses in maps hit hard enough that I'll never have problems with it?

At a certain point in dps you'll be getting all ur hp back from one use of DP, just keep progressing in gear and in the tree. Since I funded a char in this build instead of starting with it, I'm not sure what exact DPS is required to fully leech w/o savage hit.

Also, do you use your wither totem in boss fights? They play an important roll in increasing the chaos damage you dish out.

The other poster pretty much covered it. These kinds of bosses are difficult until you hit a certain point.
What about The Rippling Thoughts Legion Sword instead of Divinarius and getting a nice ES based shield with spell damage and cast speed instead of Lioneyes. Have you tried these out? I dont have enough currency to try both and compare.

Imo rippling thoughts is an amazing weapon, far better than any other melee weapon for a spell caster build other than breath of the council! The free arcane surge is also very important as you don't really have a setup to proceed arcane surge. The aoe allows better clear and the storm cascade can link to coh and a curse which saves me 35% mana reservation which is pretty nifty esp for my own blight cwc build

I haven't tried rippling thoughts. A spell shield is a viable option for more DPS, but you'll really feel the missing armour against phys hits.
