Prophecy "A Whispered Prayer" appears to be broken.

It seems the prophecy is insisting you kill a frost preacher, which is no longer in the game (it is now a frost priest).

It is possible we are all wrong and/or subject to amazingly bad RNG, but the discrepancy between the description on https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/A_Whispered_Prayer and the description on my own Prophecy page (which says "preacher" and not "priest") suggests that there is a problem.

Change to Frost Preacher was part of 3.0 changes to prophecies. Wiki is obviously not updated yet with new information. It's not a bug. Where to find frost preachers is another question entirely, and their spawn might be bugged (I'm not sure where to find them). But they definetely exist in the game as a monster type, just not sure which location they spawn in (maybe certain maps or just have bugged spawn and never spawn).

Have we gotten an update on this? Still been unable to complete this prophecy.

I can confirm that this prophecy is seemingly impossible. I have not heard of a single person who has found a "Frost Preacher" let alone completed this prophecy. There are Frost Priests in Part 1, and Frost Bishops in part 2 and maps, but I've never seen a Frost preacher anywhere in the game.

What's the difference between something existing but not spawning and something which doesn't exist?

I'd assert that it's absurd to claim that they definitely exist (in the sense that exist means appear in-game). Not only that, but I'd assert that they definitely DO NOT exist,at least in the sense of existing being appearing anywhere in the game with the name "frost preacher". I'm sure he already knows that the wiki still says "priest" because it's not updated. That's the whole point of him bringing it up, that it's changed, and that change resulted in a bug.

Your tone is unsettling for someone who seemingly has not gotten this prophecy or tried to complete it. At least you admit that it's possible that they never spawn, but you talk about it as if that's not likely the case when rather I can say this is 99.9% chance the case.

I actually got this prophecy and couldn't find them (otherwise I wouldn't be searching for it and coming upon this thread). I'm just saying that prophecy having frost preachers is not the broken part about it, just because wiki says it's priest, but the fact that frost preachers don't spawn.

Also this base monster type exists in the client, it just never spawns or spawns only in certain maps which weren't figured out yet. Maybe they spawn on map with undead mod or something like that. There was a prophecy already that required to kill rare monster on map and that monster type was incredibly rare on maps (or maybe didn't even spawn at all on maps, I don't remember, it was fixed later and they added them to the pool of monsters that could normally spawn on maps).

Indeed, unable to find any Frost Preacher mobs anywhere, only frost priest and frost bishop.

Would be nice to know if they even spawn anywhere or if it's just bugged and needs fixing.

It was definitely in the patch notes. No indication of what it actually means though. At this point I've verified again that it isn't Act 2 Crypt (still Frost Priest) or Act 7 Crypt (still Frost Bishop). So presumably Frost Preachers do spawn elsewhere and we're still left wondering where.

I've already run two more characters up through the areas likely to spawn Frost Preachers, assuming they're roughly level equivalent to Whispering Ice. So it looks like I'll just seal mine. More trouble than it's worth, IMO, for a build that requires pretty expensive items and is mostly gimped after the heavy ES nerf.

I get the feeling of discovery thing they're going for by moving the quest target and forcing us to find it again. But it seems like that was mostly ruined by the quest being bugged. It'd have been better, IMO, to just tell us where to complete it at this point.
