Are you sure they do not spawn in maps now? (Maybe with Skeletal prefix)

Would suck if you need to vorici 6S it. If so, it seems like an oversight.

I suppose Catacombs map might spawn them and Skeletal seems a good way to assist this. If I can bear to look though my standard stash I'll try and check on this. But it's usually a gamble if they're not the characteristic mob in a map.

Yet another Prophecy-in-3.0 oversight, probably.

Man, 3.0 was REALLY rushed out the door. I'd rather have no expansion or patch than a super rushed and buggy one.

Well, took a while to run all the missing quests to rebuild my skill tree... but confirmed, a Catacombs map with Skeletal prefix CAN contain Frost Preachers. Got some on the first map I tried.
But they don't appear to be signature mobs for the map so it's worth getting the prefix.
