When do people really do uber lab?

Whenever I get the trials done. Playing SRS, the bossfights are typically very easy, since you can build up 20 spirits and precast flesh offering and all the EE- and curse-stuff. That way you can burst him down before the rest of the room really activates and you just have to run for about one lap, so he doesn't hit you.
Add culling strike to the mix for the final fight (either on the SRS or whatever triggers EE) and he dies during his first attack.

On certain other builds I have failed miserably.

This league I only managed to find two trials so far, so I guess it will take a while. The fourth necromancer ascendancy isn't that great anyway however, so it doesn't really motivate to buy them from other people.

Hated the lab since the first time I done it. It was more bearable once you are more experience but Supermario/Prince of Persia gameplay has no place in an ARPG.

A few section here & there with the supermario platforming is okay, but a whole 'act' of them? Seriously.

The whole experience would been okay if there are checkpoints, & you do not restart from square 1. The experience is like going to the barber or dentist, YOu just want to get it done with.
i generally do Uber lab at around level 73-75. But tbh, i think it depends on the build as some of them take few more levels to take off than others.
Enough with the supermario/princeofpersia/frogger hyperbole. You already have more than enough places in the game (mechanics-based boss fights, maps with monster combinations which result in bullet hell with larger packs) where you need to position yourself well and time your movement based on what happens around you. How are trap sections in labyrinth different?

Also, how on earth do not traps belong to (A)RPG? Even classic AD&D had them, and in PoE, you don't even have to make an effort to "detect" them, they're plainly visible.
The more you depend on forces outside yourself, the more you are dominated by them.

I want to clarified my poorly worded post. I don't mean there shouldn't be mario like in levels, but its shouldn't the entired levels. People who play ARPG may not like them, the same way people who play FPS entired section of flying levels. Its okay to have them to break the flow once in a while (like the trials) , but keep them few & far between.

Honestly now most do trials because it's more rewarding than bosses. Between maps with double boss hp increase and uber trial drops dramatically enhanced, you are better off creating a lab runner character and just do tons of uber trials for loot.
It really depends on your build, gear and RNG. I try to do it as soon as I get all the trials. This league it was at lvl 86. I almost got oneshot in the final fight tho, like 5% life remaining... :O

4.8k life, acro/phase acro, frost blades DW Raider
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
This is how I have determined what level I complete Uber Lab in the past:

Confidence Level 1 - try #1 - nope, one shot on a trap/green bombs/wind up attack
Confidence Level 2 (gear or skill upgrades) - try #2 - nope
Repeat until Yes!

All my gear is relatively mediocre so it generally comes down to build - I did it at 90 with Facebreakers warchief and that after several tries and hp upgrades. I did it with a 2.6 Whispering Ice build easy peasy at 90 but could have easily done it earlier.
For me the answer is never.

I'm not afraid to try it. I just have never had the opportunity.

The closest I have come is finding 4 of the 6 trials while mapping. And that was only 1 league where I found that many. I have never found all 6 trials yet.
Around 85 this league.
