When do people really do uber lab?
I do it right after I find all the trials. It is not that hard. I mean it was hard before, but after hundred runs you get used to dodging all the time. (i play low health glass cannon builds mostly)
did merc lab with 2k hp and 50% all res today. Spreading salt since 2006 Last edited by Necromael#6926 on Aug 7, 2017, 2:31:19 PM

From what I sounds like, most people do uber lab after being 10 levels over the content unless its a specialized build that is naturally good vs izario. That or just pay someone which seems like the best route since it unlocks so much power. By the time you can do uber the lab you were probably already strong enough to do mid-high map content anyways.
I've found that 3.0 made normal, cruel and even merciless labs much more balanced in the sense you can do them +5 levels over content as opposed to 10 or more. IGN: Arlianth

Honestly Uber lab is a giant crapshoot. His fireballs have crit me and killed me from 6.3k life before with max fire res.
Generally you shouldn't be in there if you have less than 5k life. The more dps/additional defenses/game experience you have, the more you can push this limit. I try to have about 20k dps when I do uber lab. It all depends on your build and your personal comfort with the fight. Last edited by Asriel_D#4198 on Aug 7, 2017, 3:00:06 PM

" But why would you? Is there any reason not to wait? The reason to do lab is because it strengthens your character. So, I wait until it's time-efficient to do it. It will take me some time to do, but I'll progress faster afterward. When those two balance out (at least mentally), I do the lab. I've yet to see the point of Uber-lab. |

" It's a matter of pride and mastery more than anything. I've gone through so many temp leagues that there should be visible mark of improvement based on how early I can complete uber lab or how fast I can reach level 70 etc. I can wait till some absurd level like 88 but I think the game should be balanced better than that. " In 3.0 you can do Normal and Cruel at level while ignoring the mechanics and going for max keys. Haven't tried Merc and up yet but Normal and Cruel were a joke (and I have no leech on this character). As I mentioned, it all depends on builds. But it also greatly depends on if you let him buff or not. If you wait out and ensure he doesn't buff, it is much easier to do it at level. By the time you've found the trials (alone, not through 820), you can easily do it that way. I just never go in if I can't go for max keys, which means sometimes I have to wait. I guess it also depends on when you find all trials (in Breach I was 89 by the time I found my last one). |

83 this league. It is massively dependent on build and hc/sc.

I just finished it at level 83 with what i consider excessive gear for level 75 content but it was very easy in comparison to yesterday. In retrospect having charges as one of the stages made it extremely difficult.
Level 83 gear

" For some (not all) builds getting all ascendancy points can be a huge bonus though which becomes especially important when you tackle actual endgame content (T16, Shaper etc.). Also in general the new Lab rewards make it very much worth ones time to just farm it because. I was surprised how rewarding farming 5 keys is now. |
