Achievements in PoE
I would like achievements that reveal a little bit of lore when completed. Like: "Kill 10 000 crabs" and when completed we get the lore why these f*****g demons exists in poe ;)
Achievements schould have no benefit for the player, and I think those achievements would be great for micro transactions, for example for 1.99€ (yea no $!) you can buy the possibility to unlock 100 achievements (with lore) for you characters. Because creating achievements and testing them is a lot of work for a small team. Last edited by siis#7407 on Oct 21, 2011, 4:27:23 PM

After looking at the skill-fishnet for a while, I thought that it would be nice archievement to "get ALL nodes (all chars combined)" or maybe an easier one with all keystones.
Maybe an incentive to diversify and try different styles. Personally, I like those things if they are something "special". Not standard gameplay, like others already said (finish quest, get to lvl30,...) Another idea: "finish act 1 without killing one single crab"... and get a crab-pet as reward *g* (or title or whatever) Dynamit,

Please, no achievements. One thing I really like about this game is that there are no achievements.

Having an NPC to show quest/raid records and the party members would be a nice way to have achievements.

Either you hate them or you love them

"Mmmmnope, I can tell you from personal experience that it's entirely possible to have no strong feelings about achievements. :P |

" Seconded. Achievements for me always add a Meta layer to the games that distances myself from game because I always have that 'shopping list' of 'things to do' in the back of my head. Needless to say, any game with achievements in them: Less fun for than those without. I feel a compromise could be a switch to disable the achievement system on an account. That switch completely removes any exposure to achievements (UI; other people's achievement gains). But really, I'd rather not have them in at all. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.
