Army of Bones > To Dust Jewels are broken/not working

Guess I'll just have to buy 10 new jewels and vendor the old ones, and then try and vaal another "Cannot be Silenced".

Thanks for getting back to me at least.

Very disappointing--that the existing jewels were weakened, yes, but that's understandable collateral damage to the game's dynamism. What needn't have happened, though, is for the change announced in the patch notes to have been so misleading. No bueno.
3.0's Legacy item changes are beyond disappointing, almost as if it was a last-ditch effort to get the expansion out.

Legacy Army of Bones were absolutely gutted, my legacy Drillneck did not get its implicit updated and so no longer has any kind of pierce implicit while Blessed orbs are not applicable to the item, none of my Dead Reckonings were updated to 5 Skeleton Mages, and there are probably a host of other problems that I haven't checked yet.

I really, really wish they had waited another month to push out 3.0 and gave it the final touches that it needed.

Yeah, although in my case, as much for avoiding the 50% fps drop 3.0 brought with it. If it were still 2.6, I'd still be playing!
Yup, this is beyond disappointing. I had a few myself that I expected to go legacy, and had several offers for decent prices from people planning on flipping them. I held onto them BECAUSE of the way you guys said they would go legacy. Now I have gimped ass jewels that are worth nothing. When an item is generally seen as nerfed (like these) and they get legacy variants (that is, using a divine can update them, like these), the legacy variant is ALWAYS better, and thus, worth more. You guys made the legacy variant not even worth using over the "nerfed" version. So now we have 3 versions: a true legacy variant which is completely unobtainable, the updated legacy variant which is more like the new version than the legacy one, but in no way better, and the new version. What the fuck happened? "This is intended" my ass. I quote:

"
There are now fewer sources of additional skeletons; Uniques and items that granted additional skeletons (Including existing items) will now grant no more than 1 additional skeleton, and there are fewer sources of additional skeletons to be found in the passive tree. The helmet enchantment that spawned additional skeletons per cast will be reworked or replaced. With investment in uniques and passives, a player should be able to reach around 15 skeletons. The Army of Bones jewel will now grant 1 additional skeleton, has a limit of 1, and is being reworked.

This did not happen, at all, neither with legacy nor new versions. I believe we would be fine if the legacy variants got limited to 1 AND gave +1 rather than +2, but they are worth LESS than the new version.

GGG, your transparency is getting pretty bad to be honest. Disappointing, really. Would love to buy more mtx/stash tabs/supporter packs but that's not gonna happen at this rate.
Delete me please.

What? Seriously? The intended change was to make the existing versions WORSE than the new version? Why would the patch notes be wrong? And why misdirect your player base into believing they could have legacy versions of a unique?

Really would like a response to this, its a valid point.

Edit:

HAHAHA EVEN BETTER: http://poe.trade/search/ukadunatarikak

There are legacy variants. The update screwed some of us over. You won't admit it. WTF GGG, what is going on...

Why change some people's items but not all of them. Seems like a Bug GGG doesn't want to admit to. Especially since they had to "look into" this. Just change them back to the now legacy version or update all to the new version. No need to force people to spend a lot of currency to fix a bug. If you want us to spend currency like this then give us currency in question.
