" Actually, dark pact does also scale from the amount of HP you have. Increasing your HP will increase your DPS, make sure you have updated your PoB. My PoB is up to date, i was just confused because because in game the tooltip dps of Dark Pact does not increase when your hp increases.
So far im lvl 40-ish with this build and its quite nice, it's perfectly acceptable to level with self-cast instead of using skeletons, in fact skeletons are really clunky with this skill, even with spelltotem casting the skeletons. It looks way cooler with skeletons tho. This skill feels and looks like purple face-breakers. You make a big splashy explosion around you and thats about it, not too exciting to look at. Except that you don't actually have to target an enemy with this one to make it work which makes it more easy to use. Only trouble i've had so far was normal lab where it took me forever to kill the boss. Everything else dies really fast, even Malachai in act 4. I do have some minor concerns about the end-game survivability of this build, despite the good lifepool, but i'll wait until i actually get to the end game before making any real comments on the matter. |

Is there a more reasonable chest setup than 5B1G Cherrubim's Maleficence? Because according to Vorici calculator it will tke 12 728 chromatics on average to get that and i dont think im going to be able get that many in a challenge league within reasonable amount of time.
Edit: Not gonna lie im really regretting picking this build for league start. Until lvl 40 everything was fine but once i reached act 5 i just cant stop dying :( . That is probably at least partially due to uncapped resistances and the fact that everything deals insane elemental damage in act 5/6 it feels like nobody here deals any phys damage at all. Also the skill simply isnt fun at all, the best way i can describe it is a mixture of static strike and facebreakers. I'm sure Dark Pact will be just fine on standard if you can get the gear similar to the one linked in PoB for this build, but that costs hundreds of exalts and with that kind of a budget every skill can clear the game just fine. I don't feel like this skill offers anything that other skills dont and it doesnt look or feel cool either. I've spent 12 hours playing so far and im not sure if i want to continue or look for a different build. Anybody else here playing Dark pact at higher level/with better gear? Unfortunately dark pact has too much self damage. Even with VP and 1kk effective dps you can die pretty easily if you make a mistake.

" I agree. After reaching lvl 68 and trying some maps, i have concluded that this build, or more precisely, this skill, is absolute garbage. It has 0 survivability against any boss. I think it would be much better when using skeletons but when it comes to using your own health is is a no-go. Maybe it works on standard if you have amazing gear but you can forget about it in a challenge league. |

" I haven't checked your build or gear, but I run self-cast Dark Pact and just started running maps and have no issue on clearspeed (super fast) or bosses. I heal to full health/mana with every cast of Dark Pact... perhaps you haven't scaled to enough damage to do that? The one thing I haven't done yet which I need to now is to remove the MoM passive nodes as taking heavier damage now (act 10 + maps) removes my mana pool to 0 and prevents me from casting to get my mana/life re-filled.
