It's a good offensive option but defesivly it is poor it has no life or resists. But the attack speed and increased damage with movement skills is nice although they're not 'More' damage. If can get life and resists elsewhere Bronn's Lithe is nice.

There aren't many unique armour bases that would help Charged Dash more than Bronn's Lithe.

Going to use Carcass Jack + 2x Hand of wisdom and action (Hand of thought and motion for leveling), also Phys to Lightning for 100% convertion to Lightning Damage.
Not sure about EB yet, maybe ill just skip that and grab a Jewel Socket instead.

What skills would you pair with charged dash? One of the most attractive parts of this for em is the cast while channeling. You can grab whatever spells you want and you're going to be getting them for free, so what do you use? Do you stack a bunch of novas to protect yourself while you line up the dash, or do you put in offensive spells to weaken the mob you're about to run through? Obviously you're not just going to sit there casting the spells all day, but if you have a well leveled gem you can realistically get 1 or 2 rounds off before you dash. Interested to see if anyone has made use of this, or if the cast while charging really is just too slow.
