its that possible add one hand crossbow in the future?

Just like the titile.
During 3.0.0 beta i have seen a monster hold the one hand crossbow so that make me think and wander. if crossbow will added to game in the future maybe POE 4.0 something. how about guns? is it very hard or might change the weapon system alot? Last bumped on Jun 14, 2017, 5:57:40 AM

Maybe...it's not as simple as adding a specific monster that uses it (one monster model with it's animations)
For it to be used by the player there needs to be, several variations of crossbow including 2d and 3d art, nodes in the tree (unless they just lump it in with bows), and animation for every character which will include the general handling of the weapon and checking to make sure it dose not clip badly with every armour and skin, and applying weapon effect MTX...possibly even audio. Then you have stuff that other people want (why have a crossbow if it's just a bow with a different skin) People will want it to have it's own gimmick, which will mean new passives, new skills and maybe new uniques. " How do you fire 9 arrows simultaneously with a regular bow? On topic: 1h Crossbows could be cool. If only to allow for dual wielding with Bow skills... Could be interesting. Also, I'm curious if there will be a Strength based ranged weapon? Like, we have Dex (Bow) and Int (Wand) but nothing Str based (Certainly no hybrids... I suppose 1h Xbow could be Str/Dex?) I suppose they'd probably need to open up the Wand attack pool before they add in a 3rd weapon type to start adding attacks to I guess... |

The weapon this game is missing is a strength based ranged weapon. A crossbow doesn't really fit that. How would a crossbow differ from a regular bow in game terms?

guns have no place in dark fantasy world...this is PoE not final fantasy...rofl.
u want guns,play "cow-boy like" MMO , if it exist. learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.
