Stop using IE to look at Pr0n/WareZ sites
There poof, 50% of account hacks disappear.
I'm the neighborhood PC guy round my parts, not a pro but I can do most things people need doing aside from true hardware issues. Often, when I find a machine littered with viri/malware/spyware the culprit turns out to be their kids (or the adults) using IE to go places they shouldn't. Sometimes it just IE and phishing sites that used to be legit. The second culprit I find are bogus installers for legitimate software. It's easy to spot when this has happened because the client's IE has 12 extra toolbars. |

Yes. The FUD is great and the habit is even greater. Why should i change something i know for something i dont know? I have to learn stuff allover again? That is what i hear when i tell people to switch to another browser while im busy formatting their PCs. People are stupid and complacent.
