Fall Of Oriath Supporter Pack MTX Design
Whoever it may concern,
After Chris hyped up the FoO supporter packs as the pinacle in designs so far, I expected... something different. I know such things ultimately come down to taste, but where else am I to go to let GGG know that these choices do not appeal to me? To put it frankly: For me, they are a MAJOR disappointment. There are some exceptions, obviously I dont think everything looks bad. I think the outlaw supporter pack looks nice, it isnt too over the top and will probably look good on a ranger. The Kitava supporter pack looks very good too, something thats to be expected from the highest tier of supporter packs. But as far as the other packs armor MTX are concerned, I think the only use I personally would ever gain out of them would be to use a smaller piece here or there with other, superior sets from past packs or the shop. I acknowledge the great level of detail on these armors and especially the back attachments for the Eclipse and Kitava packs, but as nice as that is, thats not changing the picture. If I had the choice, I would love to buy one of the bigger OLDER supporter pack and its digital contents. I get the exclusivity argument but on the other hand money is money right? I would apprechiate your feedback and if a staff member of GGG reads this: Am I the odd one, or is the feedback regarding the mtx design not as positive as it has been for previous supporter pack releases? You're right, a lot of people don't like the current set of packs.
I actually quite like the Eclipse set (to each his own I guess), but I think the packs are missing an overall theme. I guess they're supposed to be themed on the new acts, but that just doesn't seem to come through in the design. The last set of packs were pretty obviously themed around the 4 guardians, which made perfect sense. This time around, though, the armor sets don't have as much rhyme or reason, and there isn't much progression like there was before (minotaur was plain, hydra was a bit cooler, chimera was cooler still, and phoenix was awesome). Of course, if the Beast's pack were anything other than what it is, I think the packs as a whole would be much better received. And as for buying older packs, GGG values their integrity more than the value of any of those packs. They aren't coming back unless PoE changes companies. Believe me, I would love to buy some of the old exclusive MTX or packs now that I have money, but I can't. And that's okay. |

Literally every time new packs come out, there are threads from people who are "disappointed" etc by how "ugly" they are. If you don't like them, then don't buy them... Your personal taste is your own.
U MAD?

" And posting the same thing that is posted by a handful of people every time new packs come out isn't redundant? U MAD?

" No it isnt. These forums are for feeback. This is feedback. Not buying the pack is a decision that is at best obserable through inaction and provides no further information to GGG that could actually be of use to possibly improve their products appeal to me, or other people who have voiced similar opinions. That would not be feedback. Remember, they are game devs, not clairvoiants and mindreaders. If you dont like me giving GGG critical feedback of this sort you are cordially invited to get the fuck out of this thread. Last edited by Rakschas666#1738 on Jun 8, 2017, 5:14:43 PM

From a peasant perspective (translation: a person who can't afford to support with a lot of money), I'd rate armor sets in this order: Outlaw (clean and elegant) > Kitava (fancy, good art, but bit bulky) >> Legion (cape is disgusting) >>>>> Eclipse (too colorful and faces on shoulders look distrubing) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Beast (WTF is that may I ask).
So for me, since $60 is top I can pay - I got my value at 110%, but I feel for people who want to support the game with some serious cash and instead of getting nice "thank you", they get ugly "slap in the face". You may argue it's all about supporting the game, but it isn't. The stuff that comes in supporter packs is form of appreciation, and current supporter pack line doesn't seem like they appreciate much those 3-digit supporters. |

I actually quite like the sets. They are all unique and VERY different in their design and uses with various other MXTs already on the market.
Also, Kitava looks amazing but isn't as overly flashy as you'd expect from a top tier supporter pack, which is a PLUS. It is however, unique again in its design. It's extremely broad, which makes it great for Marauders or perhaps a few other classes going for a meaty tank build that you'd want to look the part. For this reason, I wish they included shields to match the sets. So few of those available... :( Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

" +1 We all know it's going to happen at some point. I'll be buying an Eternal Supporter pack when it happens. Just want the weapon effect and pet. I don't really care about all the other stuff that originally came with it. |

" What ?? No it won't, exclusivity is exclusivity, you missed the chance .... well too bad for you. There is no good reason for GGG to spit on old timers who supported the game when it needed it the most. Now to contribute on the topic ... the indiana jones armour set pack really looks nice to me. The others ... not that much, some are nice the bug the huge thing above the cloak kinda ruins it imho. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Jun 10, 2017, 1:47:03 AM
