so guys,
I just wanted to ask how is yourt success in using chromas to get the desired colours. Im mostly talking about 6L item, as they are the hardest to get desired colours especially if they are off-colours. So what is your luck in getting the really hard color combos? Here is mine: around 800'ish chromas later. tried to get this 5G 1B ideally, but in reality 4G 2B would work just fine. i used voroci calc to see the optimal combo: Craft Type - Vorici 3G Success Chance - 16.30417% Average Attempts - 6.1 Cost per Try - 120 Average Cost - 736.0 Std. Deviation - 5.61 how was your luck? YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions Lab still sucks balls. I miss Zana already. ate up about 4600 chromes |

Used 3,5k chromes on a bow that vorici Calculator said 1/1k (didn't get the right colours and desided to play with just 5right and one ok ish colour)

Vorici calc is just a probability calculator. It can say 8k chromas yet get your desired colours first try, or you can eat 5 times as much as it says and not be even close.
Got a RRGGB on first try with one chroma on a pure STR chest as I wanted, Vorici says 75 chromas. Hubris Circlet on some other char, needed BBRG for Lightning Warp. Vorici says 12 chromas. Used something like 50c worth of chromas until succeeded. Including Voricis crafting bench. |

In terms of Vorici calc, the highlighted option is often not the best in reality. Best method is probably to add 3x standard deviation to the average for each option. That gives you a 95% chance to get the desired colors within that number of chromes and greatly reduces your chrome expenditure risk.

There's a cheaper method of getting weird colors on you-tube. It involves "locking" specific colors and using the "guaranteed number of sockets" master craft to build up the colors you want. Estimates put it at about 1/5 the cost of chroming.

" Video in question. It's really neat! Of course, don't really want to use this method on a pre-6Led item, preferrably... :) |
|
" Cant watch right now, but if it's what I think, do you mean post instead of pre? |

It depends on what is pre of what and what is post of what. Isn't English such a beautiful language? ;p
I haven't watched the video either, but also if it's what I think, you would NOT want to use the method on an item that is 6L "prior" or before using the method; this is another way of saying you do not want to use the method "post facto" or after 6Ling. Both prefixes could thus work :p {{that is, pre-6Led = post-6L, with the -ed making a big difference}} To be perfectly unambiguous, it is probably a method where you want the sequence to be: 1. Off-colour 2. 6L And not the reverse. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/ Contact support@grindinggear.com for account issues. English is good and cool.
'6Led prior to undergoing the colouring process'-item is what I meant, yes. :) Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Jun 3, 2017, 11:07:59 AM
