Oh definitely, I just meant early and mid game you can get by easily with soul mantle and kikazarus, both of which are usually reasonably priced. Then use a decent shield.

Where as before you really needed the extra totem from shield which now you don't. Will make leveling and farming easier.
Definetly. I am just not sure about the soulmantle and kikazaru prices with the Hierophant hype atm. Maybe the day 1-2 prices raise from 10-12c for rings and chest to 30c or something. But its not like you cant start mapping without it.

would just focus on the chest and use a warding flask and no self-flagellation until prices are reasonable... and before that some random 5link or tabula.

the extra totems will make everything much smoother and no more ascestral bond is needed early on

just wanted to let you know how great it is to see you actively working on this. I wanted to play this as my 3.2 leaguestarter and when i saw the berzerker revamp i was really bummed out to see it kinda ruin our build. But when i headed over to the forum I was really happy to see that you were already theorycarfting on how to do this build differently. Since then reguarly checking on what you've been doing has become very exciting to me.
Long story short I am really happy that you are actively working on this build. Keep up the good work!

last league it wasn't necassary since barely anything changed for the build, but this time its a bigger shakeup.

If nothing major changes that can hurt the build a lot it will be stronger than before with a way higher singletarget dmg.

The Guide is mostly updated for the Hierophant except my usual skilltree pic.
Many things might change til the patchnodes, keep that in mind. And yes i know that i maybe have to throw everythin in the trashbin if something extreme happens (another top ascendancy, heavy nerf/buff for something related etc)


So i got already 2 pics for you guys





Pic one shows how i would start the character and once this point is reached (or a bit later) i would switch to the other route.

The first one has a stronger early game (since we level a good amount of time with spells that use spelldmg) and the pathing grants quicker access to the powernodes (EO and EE).

The 2nd route has the universally useful and more defensive start and path through Shaper for the regen and later access to a good 3 point jewel.

Ofc skilling more life, damage or jewels earlier is totally doable ;)

RFT Degen Calculation:

RF deals 22.5% damage based on the max life per second with 75% fire resistance.

Spelltotems take 45% less damage from all sources.

This means the totem only degens for 12.375% life per second.
Hierophant grants the totem 1% liferegen per totem, we use up to 5 totems. This results in 7.375% lifedegen per sec or a 13.55 sec uptime if it takes no other dmg... longer than it needs to stay around (enemys ripped, replacing..)

How about farming Hogm with this build ? Ever tried it ?
Im looking for a league starter that could do both, farming uber lab and hogm early on, what this build be a good choice ?

I tried it and was one of my two chars i ran it with. Solo it cannot do it against some exiles. Chaos dmg is shitting on totems before they do anything (esp caustic arrow), but deals with those supertanks.

I ran some starforge sweeper for 90% of hogm and killed those tanks with this build

We have the option to turn on RF ourself with just Rise of the Phoenix equipped. Not to clear, but as a extra singletarget boost for 4x scorching ray totems.

In my PoB test is had 652 liferegen and 500 manaregen with totems active.
With RotP and selfcast RF on still 104/133 without any flask or pantheon active.

The build is not made to run maps with RF on (since any harmful mapmod will destroy the regen), but for stuff like shaper its possible to sqeeze more dmg out this way.

258k to 345k dps per scorching ray totem IS a difference!

Will try it out in 3.2 for Endgame bosses




It´s really fascinating for me how the build can change (and the options) with some small changes like a ascendancy class.

Before it was a bad idea to play rf totems on a hierophant with the lower dmg per totem and non stacking rf. Now we can completly swap to SR totems for high bossdps and even cast RF ourself to boost it further..
