Why have I only just discovered Grim Dawn?

Great ARPG made by the Titan Quest people.

Better than never I say. At least you get to fully enjoy a finished product. I had to wait for years to finally see the game be completed and go all out on the game. When I first played Grim Dawn, it only had one act, three masteries, and level cap was at 25 (or 30 I think). Everything else was either in the development or planning stage.

Grim Dawn is getting an expansion soon and is probably coming out this summer. Inquisitor and Necromancer mastery will be introduced in the expansion along with act 5, slightly expanded devotion tree, a new NPC which is an Illusionist (pretty much will relate to Transfiguration), more loot items, and more.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Wasn't there a big thread here in off-topic about Grim Dawn starting when it was in early access?

Sorry but I hate this game and cannot recommend it.

Not because of the game itself - game mechanics and the gameplay are perfect.

But because the audio is attrocious for hearing impaired people.

The audio engine utilizes a 100% panning effect based on what side of the player character the action of the sound is coming from, unnaturally assuming that no sound from one side can travel to the opposite ear.

I can only hear in one ear, so 50% of the sounds, NPC speech and any other directional ambience is entirely blocked on my deaf side. No other game in the history of gaming that I can think of has this issue, other games usually utilize surround sound meaning that the audio will naturally travel to both ears but just be louder or quieter per channel, not 100% inaudible.

I want to bring grievous harm upon whoever designed such an audio engine.

There's no way to enable a mono effect?
LOL, don't blame people for YOU being broken. It is not their fault that you are defective.

But they actually have colour blind options in the graphics for visually impaired people, but zero audio options other than volume level.

And the audio is broken, like I said NO OTHER GAME DOES THIS!

I do not think PoE has one too since there would had been the option of mono, stereo, and custom. I think this is a matter of manipulating your speakers and/or headphones to interact on whatever option you want since you can do that these days.

But I can hear everything in PoE without having to change anything.

That's what I was thinking. I don't have a fancy audio card, but one might be able to manipulate the game output through the audio settings on their computer? I dunno for sure. Just wondering if there is a solution for those with hearing impairment.
