We need some wind based spells.

So we have fire spells, we have lightning spells, we have cold spells, we have chaos spells and we have spells that deal physical damage.
Where are the wind spells like: Gust of wind, tornado, wind vortex, blizzard etc...

They are missing, but that could be fixed, right?

Are you going to add them when you finish the new physics system?

What kind of damage would they do? Would this mean adding an entirely new elemental damage type? That seems like a pretty tall order, when most of what you describe could just be cold damage.

it could be cold if it's a cold wind or fire if it's a hot wind.... it could also mix electricity in it? it could be a spell that uses 2 elements

Typically, Wind based damage in games tends to do Physical damage.

Given that it's applying physical force to stuff or flinging objects at stuff.

On Topic:

Wind based spells could be cool.

Gust - Sends a large gust of wind forwards, knocking enemies back on hit and reducing their stun threshold by 50%.

Monsoon - Creates a ring of wind that pushes back enemies that walk into it (Sort of like pseudo Frost Wall, but that sets up for AoE nicely)

Thunderstorm - Creates a thunderstorm at the target location, dealing physical damage over time and hits of lightning every 0.2 seconds.

Hurricane - A large hurricane appears at the target location, dealing massive physical damage and knocking enemies back on hit.

Just a few examples off the top of my head.

We are talking about spells. Cyclone is a melee AoE attack, not a spell.

These spells could deal physical damage, sometimes mixed with cold or lightning damage or fire damage depending of the nature of the spell. No new damage type needed.

BTW there is only 4 elemental damage both in games and in real life, so what would that theoretical 5th element would be? Mila Jovovich?

There is no other 5th element, PERIOD !
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
we have glacial cascade that deals both physical and cold. someting more like that maybe?
