Where do I complain about Scammers like [Removed by Support]

There is no perfect system. But, if you're asking me if I would rather give someone the option to "trash my rep" for no reason, which would also allow people to warn others about 'bad actors.' OR, if I'd rather a system where no one can complain about anything, and attempts to warn other is silenced. I would pick the former.


One of the reason I've been cordial with the people I do interact with is because I am worried about "getting a bad reputation." I guess I shouldn't have worried? Except that I know that if everyone is a dick to everyone else, it will make it so less people play the game, which is bad if you like the game.

I guess worrying about this makes me a bad Social Darwinist? So, maybe this game isn't for me?

It's not the game for anyone who would give someone 100c, post a thread about it, and not learn from the experience.

It seems like by preventing me warning other people your making it so it becomes a viable strategy to scam people. Is this the intention?

It's simple. You could destroy a person with false accusation, just because you hate the person. Just like false rape accusation in real life. That's why we aren't allowed to accuse without proof.

Do you know what was wrong in your case? Your trust. You trusted in a complete stranger in an online game. But you have gained knowledge. You probably won't get scammed so easily next time. And that is a valuable lesson, worth far more than 100c.

These threads always end up this way... why do we even bother?

Except in real life no one is stopping you from warning others about a ligitament scam.

That's how society works. If murderer kills my wife, I'll never get my wife back even if the murderer is caught. But, if he is caught, I will know others are protected. You don't hear the cops saying "Oh, sorry, your wife is dead and there is nothing that can be done about that, so why did you call us again?"

You can warn people. You just can't name/shame. Tell the world. Tell people not to fall for what you did. Post it on the forum.

Yes but if he goes to prison it's because there are proofs, and we know he's the real killer.

Steal all you want as long as you dont ruin someones rep? How exactly is someones rep not able to be stolen by false claims? if your in game items are up for grabs shouldnt your rep be just as easily killed? Is this game trying to be like a half ass badass... where we like cutthroat stuff unless its cutthroat in a different way? This makes the people who choose for it to be this way look really stupid.

You could use your experience to protect others if you chose to. Some ideas:
1. Elaborate on how you feel you got scammed such as what you agreed upon, what the person said, what happened etc. Help yourself and other people learn how you put yourself in that position to avoid it in the future.
2. Put a support ticket in with the same thing (include your chat log) and be articulate when you do so instead of just saying something like your original post.
3. Make a list of people you do know are trustworthy and share the link to the thread in your signature.
