Dealing with Xandro Blooddrinker with Tornado Shot Ranger?

The "power up" effect is Soul Eater, which Xandro shouldn't have unless a Prophecy or something else is screwing with him. Normally he's kind of a cakewalk. He certainly shouldn't constantly have Soul Eater if you're not tripping Prophecies for him. Hm. Might want to investigate more.

Well I always keep my Prophecies full, and yes it seems to be he is often there for Deadly Rivalry IV "You will defeat the Rival Exile".

hell always be there for deadly rivalry iv and be in power up mode.

it is absolutely pointless to play with crappy weapon and saving for 6L weapon. 6L on weapon is much less important than good damage weapon (which is crucial). You can get links from chest anyways and 6L chests can be incredibly cheap these days..

20c or less for good bow that can theoretically double clear speed thus farming 'rate'..

Yeah, that'll do it. You need to actually beat him for that prophecy to stop being a valid thing for Navali to give you. Until you clear it you'll keep ending up with DR4 and that will always be Xandro with the same mods he's had. Until you drop him it'll keep happening. Has nothing to do with Tornado Shot and everything to do with the fact that DR4 Xandro is an asshole.

Drop the Darkscorn, go in for an Opus - that bow is nearly BIS for Tornado Shot these days with the Fall of Reach - recruit yaself a posse on Global 820 if you have to, and kick Xandro in his tender bits. Then he'll leave you alone.

Thats probably the easiest way. If you get that "You will defeat the Rival Exile" prophecy again you can go through zones in Act 1/2 Merciless until he/it spawns and kill him there.

Darkscorn was a freebie from a friend and at the time a massive upgrade from the 4L Harp I was using.

And yea I never attributed Xandro's buffs to the Deadly Rival prophecy. I'll have to just goto a lower zone to clear it when I get it in the future.

Again, I'm a noob, but following Neversink's guide, which I've noticed is a bit out of date in certain places...but he doesn't even have Barrage as an option, so never tried it. I rarely use Frenzy, it's there really for single target fights where I need to get Frenzy stacks up if I have none.

The easiest thing you can do to deal with him and others like him is to give them something else to hit. Use a decoy totem. You can link it with minion life and resistance supports if you need it to last longer.
