Attack Speed on Weapons counted?
So I just got a "Voidhome" Unique and from seeing some linked in trade, I think its garbage. Well, trades on forum seem to be selling for 1 Exalt... the only reason I would think its worth 1 Exalt is for the 50% increased Attack speed on the weapon to not be counted in the Damage Range the weapon shows... am I correct to assume this? Or why is it that Voidhome sells for 1 exalt, whats so great about it? Thanks.
Sorry for noob question, I only play witch EDIT: Reason I think its junk is because it offers little more DPS than a Geofri and Geofri (speling?) doesn't have the huge XP and Magic loss. IGN: LessBow Last edited by Schn1tt3r#5216 on Feb 23, 2013, 1:31:40 PM

1.80 attacks per second for a two-handed melee weapon is pretty damn high. Imagine that with skills like Sweep for example...
Yes, if you stare at the item description then it looks like Geofri's Baptism and Voidhome have similar physical damage. But, check your character window for DPS with each one and you should see a difference. |

No weapon's attack speed is calculated into it's damage range.. that wouldn't make any sense.
That said, I agree that its pretty much a trash item because of the minus xp and rarity bonuses. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.

" Of course it is DPS is Damage PER SECOND so obviously the attacks per second aka attack speed is taken into account. |

YES
NO YES.. haha I left more confused than when I started, minus the attack speed explanation, thanks. That awful game D3... attack speed on weapons was calculated on the damage that is why I ask. IGN: LessBow

" Attack speed on weapons is calculated into the damage, if you equip it and look at the tooltip DPS of your skills after you equip it. If you just look at the damage of the weapon in your inventory, the attack speed does nothing to those numbers. Can someone explain how attack speed works for special attacks like Leap Slam that have their own base speed?
