Shes alright. I have laughed at a few of her jokes. I didn't deem her good enough to go to any of her shows or what not. I wasnt going to pay money for that.

last fall I was traveling on the east coast for a bit, and at some point was staying at my friends place. his wife had a newborn not too long ago and it was during some turmoil on the east coast so after going out to some bars, me and him come back to his place early, and decide to watch some standup shit on netflix and go to sleep early and Im fairly indifferent to standup, I fucked heavily with old chris rock or chappelle or kat williams back in the day, and maybe like a few of louis ck stuff if we talking nowadays, but really usually Im ok with whatever. so my friend and his wife put this blonde comedian woman on, and she has jokes about drinking and blacking out- and I love drinking and blacking out jokes, it hits close to home for me. but...this broad aint funny. at all. like AT ALL. like I feel awkward and cringy, kinda like reading a bad bing bang theory screenplay with no laugh track, but even worse. anyway after a few minutes, I say that she isnt funny, my friends wife icegrills me but they change it to some other standup that is at least passable. I didnt catch a name of this comedian, but reading this thread, I figured theres a good chance its her. googled 'amy schumer stand up drinking' and sure enough- its her. | |

Sorry if this is too off-topic, but I've yet to see any funny women in a stand-up special. They've all been awful. They're funny enough at roasts but...yeah, batting .000 for me when they fly solo.
I can't say I've watched a ton of stand-up specials, but, I mean, I've seen my share I think. Demitri Martin, L.C.K., Rock, Chappelle, Bo Burnham, Mitch Hedburg, Jim Gaffigan, Kat Williams. Those guys have me rolling. Anyone have ANY suggestions for funny stand-up by a lady? |
