Omg. I DID find her in my 2nd map and DIDN'T do her mission, becouse I was too noob and just wanted to check map -.- Does it mean that I won't find her again for soo long time? ;____;

Each Map you open has the same chance of spawning a Zana mission (ignoring Prophecies that force certain Master appearances of course :P ). You might find her in your fourth Map, maybe in your fourtieth.
Everyone who claims that made what is described in first post and done 80 maps and NEVER meet her hands up. With proof. The i believe that it is "hard".

I play PoE long time and i had NEVER problem with Zana. I have shitty drops (like maby 3 exalst total, all of them in last league for example) but Zana is never a problem.

And about those 40 players per 1000 - statistics is usefull but can warp Your perception of reality. Use it wisely.

Ohhhh, the irony..........
German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team."
top2000: "let me bend your rear for a moment exile"
Found her on third map.

80... right.
Well I dont know how many maps it took me, but I found her finally when I hit lvl 82.

I actually quit the league in frustration at around L80 after not finding her, and returned to Standard, but then found they'd fked Zana mods up in Std so came back to Legacy.

Two levels later I finally found her.

Your own experience is a bias that warps your perception of reality. Statistics do not warp anything, they provide view on how probability works on large scales that are beyond most individuals capacity to understand.

Here are 2 real examples that provide counter-point to your "I got lucky" case. My own examples from past leagues.

Patch 2.0, release of Act 4: It took me 37 T1 and T2 maps to find Zana and be able to invite her to my hideout. I kept records in excel file, which I still have on my desktop. Considering that I'm generally slow map runner and I try to salvage as much as possible from each map, it took me considerable amount of time to get Zana.

Essence challenge league: I found Zana in my 4th map but unfortunately her missions was timed one to kill monsters and the map was Cells. I failed to finish the map on time. It took me 22 more maps to find Zana again.

If Zana's appearance in a map is truly 1 in 15, both examples are very unlikely. Unlikely but very possible in a large scale of things.

The thing is Zana should be much more common to get her into hideout, and get her map device, as soon as possible. PoE endgame are maps and if you do not find Zana, you are not able to run those maps effectively--no map device means less quantity on maps, no Zana in hideout means no dailies to level her up, which in turn means less quantity on maps and last but not least irritating laboratory placement in Act 3, which means you can't move to it directly from your hideout because waypoint defaults to Act4 map.

I feel that Zana should be a quest, which grants you map device upon its completion. There should be no randomness, it should require to run 3 to 5 maps and once you are done with it you get your map device and option to invite Zana to your hideout.

Statistics provide data. Interpretation of this data is most important and someone who doesnt understand the data will get warped perception.

Well some time ago in one of many PoE comebacks (i have several month pauses in playing) i was doing maps like crazy and never found Zana. Then i found her in lab. It was early after Masters but not Masters per se. Since then i had never problem with finding her.

When i play PoE i clean ALL instances at least once and always clear maps to the last mob. Sometimes i drop bosses if i consider them too difficult (it means if losses are more pain than rewards) but despite that i always clear maps. Always. So dont tell me that i do "run fast" - i actually hate fast runs and sometimes when i do party i always do "NOT FAST RUNNERS" description. And if one such kind come to party then i leave it.

That actually i agree. Maby GG will do her in this way in 3.0?
