It is possible to do. You will probably need to focus more on unreserved life pool for when you face chaos damage.

I'm curious where this stands in 3.0. I doubt it's better for it, but I suspect it's not much worse. Maybe I'll try doing the math at some point - unless you already did ?

ignite "removed" from the game
in 2.6 with initial hit 170k ignite has 2kk dps in PoB
in 3.0 with same initial ignite has 30k dps
