Most of Leaguestones are...But well you can still enjoy Breach + Beyond. Sigh.

edit : anybody know if an essence magical leaguestone can have "corrupted essence" as a modifier?
I'm looking for insanity essence in SSF, but the chances are "low" to say the least :D.
Why hello there big love.

I'm a bit bias about Prophesy league TBH, so i thought i should give some context. I found the actual league itself very boring to play, so once i'd done all the prophesy chains i went back to standard.
Anyways this league has some ludicrous potential.
save up 5 maps that already have the 'of beyond' affix then add these three stones:
Ramps the difficulty up, but gives you a bit of a fighting chance.
For added bonus, throw in some uniques from those leagues that have buffs around rampage/onslaught.
or maybe this one? i didnt play tempest so didnt think to look up what i was till now: 1200% rarity + 600% quantity could come in handy replacing the breach stone.

Another thing that annoyngs me is that I need blue Talisman to have a chance for Stone Circle spawn...again, wut? I never seen one so far and get full tab of Talismans (with many of them being useless as their item level is meh).
You get the chance for a stone circle on white talisman stones, though it only spawns in outdoor areas. Maybe you missed them with the way they blend in, one with the nature and all that :)
So white Leaguestones still have a chance to spawn Stone Circle? Why there is mod for magic Stones "Next area have 25% chance to spawn Circle Stone" then? I am confused. >_<
While we are at it. On what Talisamn of Greatwolf drop depends? Does Rarity of sacrificed talismans matters? AFter you reach minimum itemlevel required to get it, does further incrase of Itemlevel of sacrificed talismans have impact on it's drop or rolls?

Perandus Leaguestone have no chance to spawn Cadiro whatsoever, despite brodeals were main fucking selling point of Peradus League and only 1 box at a time.
Prophecie Leaguestone has 1 coin. LOL.
Essence Leaguestone - only 1 Essence pack, even though we were getting multiple packs on regular basis. Hell, even after Essence we are still getting like 1 Essece per 2 instances.
You are such an optimist, wow.
No, he is completely right. The league stones are either what the previous league was, pretty much exactly or more in case they are blue.
The issue is that it lacks impact nowadays, because many of those mechanics were integrated into the base game. That doesnt mean that "it was so much better back then", it means that we are spoiled by all the content that is in already.
And seriously, i am getting way, way more essences than i ever did in essence league. You are forgetting that you get the one guaranteed by the leaguestone, and then can more naturally spawning. In adition to that, essences dropping in maps are way higher level than back then.
Fat dude not spawning with the old leaguestones is true, but with the new ones he does once every leaguestone or so on average. Was an oversight on GGGs part to be sure, but he spawns more frequently than back in Parandus if anything now.
If you hate the league that much, you can always just not play.
This is exactly what I am talking about. Most of Leaguestones are really meh unless they are GG rolled blue ones gated behind RNG / trade.

Yep, these are pretty good. I would love to see list of Incredible mods that Leaguestones can roll.

Probably to give you the extra chance, back in talisman we had guaranteed stone circles in some areas though I suppose you don't really need them all that often.
Talismans obtained from stone altars are an average of the talismans used, where
The highest-level talisman is counted three times,
The middle three talismans are counted twice,
The lowest-level talisman is counted once,
The level of Rigwald's area you open is determined the same way, it affects only Rigwald's drops, I don't think it has any effect on greatwolf rolls. Rarity of the talismans used does matter, you got 20% chance per each rarity used, so if you sacrifice five T3 rares you get a guaranteed rare greatwolf.
...
One thing I do agree with about leaguestones, they don't emulate Tempest well. The main draw of tempest was finding the area affected by a useful tempest and then telling your buddies so you can farm the stuffing out of it during the timeframe it's active.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I am even more confused now. Aren't Eyes of Greatwold always Uniqiue and only T4 Talisman?
So I can always find Stone Circles in certain areas (same ones as during Talisman) with Talisman Leaguestone, but there is still no chance for them to spawn in other areas with white stone?
How level of the instance affects Talisman? It affects Tier and Itemlevel of dropped Talisman by monster or Tier only depend on Leaguestone roll and otherwise was always T1? It has no effect on Stone Circles, right?
...
There is more than enough isses with Leaguestones :< Though I actually like Tempest more then most, because it still has this Presence I said so much about here.

Eyes of the greatwolf is a unique greatwolf talisman, which is T4, you have to sacrifice a unique T3 talisman with four others and you have a 20% chance to get it. That's what blue talismans are for, you use them to fill the slots when you're going for the unique ones.
The chance is the same for any outdoor area in Legacy, it was higher for some areas in Talisman but you don't need it often so 25% is plenty.
Just itemlevel, talismans always drop as T1 unless you got +1 tier on leaguestone. It has no effect on stone circles, the level of Rigwald area or summoned monsters depends only on talisman item level so you can get level 80 monsters in normal ledge.

So there is Unique eye of Greatwolf and normal one for T4 Talismans?
What would be optimal recipe of Leaguestone's Rarity to get high chance for Eyes of Greatwolf. I thouhght Rigwald is guarantee to drop one of his uniques so it's random which one you will get. He is guarantee to drop one of his items AND T4 Talisman?
If chance is same, why there is specifal Affix for it's spawn? >_< Just to be sure, are you sure you encountered Stone Circle while using White Talisman Leaguestone and not Blue?

Eyes of the Greatwolf is the same thing to Greatwolf Talisman as Atziri's Disfavour is to Vaal Axe, one is a unique item and the other is a basetype.
Yeah, Rigwald drops one unique (which one is dependent on area level) and a T4 talisman (rarity dependent on sacrificed talisman rarity).
I'm about as sure as someone that saw '25% chance for stone circle' on his white talismans and had just spawned one in Dunes could possibly be.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
all of my talisman ones have the 25%, at least for the last two days. I'm not sure that the earlier ones (pre 60) did though, so maybe its an item level thing?
Thanks for the Q&A, is was somewhat confused about how to get the unique greatwolf talisman myself. So to really guarantee it, you need to use 5 T3 uniques?
When you say his regular unique is dependant on area level, do you mean his summoned level or the actual area?

You can't guarantee a unique because you need to use five different basetypes, you farm rare sets for a guaranteed rare greatwolf and use the blue ones for unique greatwolf hunting. Talisman was notorious for grindyness because you need 125 Nightholds to expect getting Eyes of the Greatwolf and the result may end up being right at home on the middle finger of Ser Stinkalot.
I mean the level of the area you opened with the sacrificed talismans, you can open it anywhere you want, the level of the area you did it in makes no difference. Those that played talismans tend to have funny stories to tell about that, you sell a low level player your high level talismans, he sacrifices them and gets rekt by the monsters that come out.
