Whats the point of Extra character slot MTX seriously?
" I almost maxed my character count way back when ... haven't come close since beta finished and mostly top out around 2-3 active characters and 6-9 lightly played to never touched since being created and run to act2. There's only one character that I ever remotely attached to,I still have him on roster but due to melee changes over the years don't even consider trying to *re-build* him anymore(he actually did me proud in the release of the last act though, due to some new defensive gems). He kinda just sits there with the name DA_Temper as a reminder of good times past. Last edited by Temper#7820 on Mar 2, 2017, 10:24:10 PM

If you only make 2 characters per league you will have to delete something or buy new slots. (if you started in the early days that is)
I just delete a few every new league. Never play standard. |

i keep a variety of characters around to experiment with builds using the free respec, and have hit cap

I once bought a character slot because I didn't want to log into a Standard league character and strip it before deleting it, AMA.

" You're not alone :) One of the things I love about starting a new league is coming up with a fitting name for the class and build that I plan to play. I literally spend a couple of hours on coming up with a name for my first char of the league. Last edited by Stefacle#6840 on Mar 3, 2017, 1:38:51 AM

" The reason they are generous with character slots is because they want you to mule if you don't/can't/won't spend money on extra stash tabs. It wouldn't make any sense if it wasn't generous. Recruiting for Archnemesis League/Siege of the Atlas!

I bought two today. Had 45 coin leftover, and ran up against the character limit right at the end of breach for the first time (and I've been around for a while). I've accumulated many lvl 80+ characters that I like, even though I don't play standard. Maybe someday I will. If nothing else they serve as a nice test playground in times like these for a future league. It's nice in that way, too, to have the stable of different classes ready with their full free respec so I can try nearly anything that I can afford on a whim.

People keep mentioning leagues, but another reason is racing.
Often there are several races back to back that you want to enter, but you need to leave your character intact until GGG awards the points for the race that just finished. Since you can't immediately strip and delete your race characters, you need to have room to spam a few new characters at a time. If you have 23 league characters saved, it makes it difficult to race when you only have room for 1 more and you have to keep waiting for points to be awarded before you can delete and race again.
