How Broken Pantheon mechanic is gonna be?
|
So far I see few screenshots and bonuses Pantheon offered on them were situational and pretty "innocent" . What do you think about this new mechanic?

Just another power creep.

Probably to make up for the removal of double dipping and help to buff melee more, if it really happens.

" I'd go with this. Unless they removed two of the ascendency passives, in which case it might work out alright. |

Could be power creep, but depends on what nerfs 3.0 are going to bring.

I expect it to balance out in the end?
GGG is surely going to nerf some stuff. |

Since they're also addressing vaal pact and ES, this might actually equalise things between ES and life. From what I understood, the pantheon powers are sipposed to be quite situational and purely defensive. Which would be amazing!
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

Assume that the majority of the balance will end up where GGG wants it. Obviously they are not omniscient and will miss stuff (maybe even very obvious stuff) but they've already stated double dipping is dying, energy shield and vaal pact will be reworked, and there will be other balance changes.
Don't assume they will get it right, that's also ridiculous. The game will likely end up feeling a bit easier, hopefully it's because this new mechanic provides easy options for fixing holes in a character build and not because they are making the game casual. It's reasonable, however, to expect some pandering to casuals as the game is pretty popular and the more popular it gets the more bad players there will be that are asking for things to be easier. It's REALLY easy to f' up a build and burn all of your currency on the wrong items because you didn't realize that Act 4 Merciless (will no longer exist) was going to be absolutely brain-f'ingly brutal compared to all the previous content the first time you got there. Just thoughts, but they are all reasonable progressions for GGG as a company that makes its living selling digital clothes for digital paper dolls. From that last statement it just occurred to me that GGG isn't so much a game company as it is a digital fashion company that just happens to let you play a game with your avatar... _WAter_ |
