Promenade mage boss' reflect spell needs some rework

after the first time you should have learned your lesson
|
|
"in this game, the only thing you "learn" after death is "okay, I just died seemingly randomly but maybe it isn't so? time to google this shit up" And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

" " the sword dude can get thorns because the caster woman casts it on him. She cant cast thorns on herself, she can only cast it on the other mobs around her, including the sword dude. The thorns is shown by a triangle of lightning around the waist of the monster. Its a spell that delivers flat lightning spell damage for every hit you make on the mob. Basically its not safe to attack any monster near her with something that scores a lot of hits quickly. What you do is use enduring cry to pull all the mobs away from her, she will naturally hang back as a ranged character so you drag the majority of other mobs a few screens down and kill them out of her range. Then when theres enough space around her to go in and kill her without hitting other monsters at the same time you run in and obliterate her. She cant cast it on herself so with no other mobs around shes fucked. Thats always been Promenade, I died to it a few times about 4 years ago and Ive never died to it again once you know exactly whats going on. Its funny watching people on streams who dont really know the full mechanics of it, theres been quite a few over the years. They get to the boss, start attacking mobs and instantly you know, ok, this guys gonna die.... yep there it goes, rip lol. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Never seen an explanation for the circles before. Will prob experiment next time.
" I do sth similar: Staggered attacks to kill the mobs until only the bosses remain. Then facetank them while only hitting mage. But this doesnt work if its twinned. The mages can thorn each other. Twinned == very slow/nasty. Incompatible with speed meta for a build which is vulnerable to the LT. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" You got a source for that? I just tested it. The mage boss still casts the normal version of LT. It seems (== not 100% sure) to be completely independent of the circle. It hurts a lot to hit the target. Target usually (or always?) is some other boss. I tried testing what the circle does. Its possible that it also acts like LT but with all the sparks flying around I couldnt determine it. If it does act like LT it is probably weaker though. Never took serious damage when attacking mobs inside the circle. Whereas I take serious damage if I attack even one mob (== other boss) if it has the 'normal' LT on it. Just to be clear: I am aware that there are 2 types of circle. I am not talking about the curse circle. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
