I'm still not really sure what's happening. Let me see if I can present some sort of timeline:
1. You have PathOfExileInstaller.exe which you downloaded from the PoE website?
2. After you run the installer the game starts to install but fails towards the end?
3. You're receiving some sort of error message about an invalid hash?
Have you tried deleting the entire PoE Game folder and reinstalling? Can you post an image of the error message you're getting?
Yes, I downloaded PoE from the website and am currently trying to install the updates to play it. It goes past 100% then fails and gives me the hash error.
Already tried reinstalling/deleting the entire folder. Didn't work.
Here's a link to the error.

Can't say I've seen the error before but it does suggest a Connection Failure, which might cause hash failures, if the file(s) in question, has not completely finished downloading. What kind of Internet connection are you using?

Wireless. Using a cord is not an option. Already tried resetting router/calling but nothing really works.

The patcher is still giving me this weird hash error. Still can't play.

If you're still getting the connection failure, I doubt anything will change until you fix it. If you can't try with a cable, try changing the WiFi channel and make sure there's no other traffic on the router. You might also check the QoS settings, if any, on the router. Maybe, if possible, try a different router.
