poe prone to hack???

today it seems alot of people got hacked. i checked the facebook page of poe, and saw some people posting that they got hacked.
actually today, my dad got hacked too lol, good thing he wasnt that rich. i dunno, i guess ggg needs to do something about this. |

good thing there's a lock patch!
it seems it auto locks the account when someone logins from remote location. thanks for this patch poe, i just verified, my dad didnt lose any items. |

no you need to do something about it. get a stronger password, scan your system for malware, stop browsing pr0n sites.
Not PoE got hacked, YOU got "hacked". I'm now playing online games for nearly a decade and never ever was an account of mine compromised. People tend to claim that it's not their fault while in fact it was. But would you admit that you caught a virus while looking for some nasty things on the interwebz that lead to your account beeing compromised? I wouldn't. edit: It's the same thing with bots and hacks. Even in counterstrike people cheat, get banned and claim they got hacked. Or in Diablo 3 and LootAlert. Both my friend and I got hacked (he just got hacked today, I was a few days ago) and we've never been hacked before in all of our years playing online games. I have a strong, unique, secure password used nowhere else and I NEVER logged in using the information on any website (not even here; I've been logged in since I registered).

Never got hacked, not even a single virus ever.. and I would share your opinion, if it wasn't for the fact that both me and my bud got haxzored in POE. :P So I lost my hack-virginity which is great but I'm not too sure about POE's safety pre-patch. :-) |

Same uninformed complaints with the release of every new game, when a lot of people are playing.

" You fucking dumb? Not everything is a fault of the user. That many reports at the same time suggests one single thing; PoE got hacked. A lot of people I know, that never uses same password twice, never saves them anywhere on their PC, and avoids malicious files/sites, while running stuff like Defense+ combined with a good firewall and anti-malware also got hacked. |
