https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/5merw4/singapore_gateway_the_latency_problem_72_hours/ chris_wilsonLead Developer [score hidden] an hour ago I heard (and I don't have a link for this handy at the moment) that there were some big problems near Singapore like cable cuts between countries or something, and that it might be several weeks before someone gets a boat out to fix it. I'll try to get a citation for this so that I'm not just spreading misinformation. I am using battleping at the moment now its working fine. my usual ping is 70-80. with bping now its 90 stable. i am fine with that. The main problem though is the knock on effect. All that traffic that would have went through the cut fibre has to get there somehow, so it either uses a now heavily over burdened route or tries to connect to something less congested...and it seems that it's getting bounced all over the place when it looking for the next best, some of the tests showing London, and the US, which by default increases the load for those in the US/EU (though not as much) And the fact that it' all that traffic is congesting the working routes also open it up for some heavy spikes via peek hours for each area that would be connecting through there, so i would expect a problem in the morning as businesses open (all their net traffic), and later when people start getting off work until the late evening.
