That is implying that there is a sever imbalance somewhere.

I can guarantee you that if you nerf pizzablast into the ground you would have another similar build pop up in days. PoE is complex enough that you can make something broken out of nearly all skills. Its meta babies like you who cry about "no compelling choice", while only using builds made by others or found on the forums.

As someone who has been playing the game for longer than 5 years (damn time flies), people like you who think kneejerk nerfs are good just don't have a clue how the game works.

They actually did nerf everything out there and look at the state the game is in. Most life builds aren't viable anymore. The builds which are viable I can count on one hand. The game got so boring I don't even know which build I want to play next because every build looks so bland and not exciting to play and I sure as hell won't play pizza totem the new meta. BV pathfinder still looks as strong as before but that's also a boring build which I will never play. Maybe it's time to take a break from this game. So yeah rant done.

Seriously, it's not at all as bad as you describe. I'm doing absolutely fine with a new non-meta melee life based build.

Do you have to let go of the 10mill tooltip dream? Yes.
Do you have to take 250% max life in a softcore build? Yup.
Is it fun, unique, interesting? Absolutely.

I'm clearing breaches including bosses on T10+ so my clearspeed must not be that bad. :)

Everyone wanted to nerf the cool fun builds like mjolner, coc, abd cospri so now we are locked into this cycle. This is what we are left with. Pizza Blast and Blade Flurry with everything else sucking massive dick. Since everyone screamed for equality its time to follow suit and knock flameblast and the beloved bladeflurry down a notch too.

Doesnt matter if new builds come up that take their place we will evaluate and pass judgement on them as well.

+1. I'm bored af. Like I get that you can't play a game forever, but it's not the game itself I'm bored with it's the fact there's nothing to do now. Playing the same 2 builds because I'm looking through all the potential skills and I'm thinking what the fuck is the point? So I put a 30ex build together for what. Get one shotted by Uber Izaro or use it blast through T10s? And worse yet, you know if your build is good, they are going to nerf the fuck outta it by leagues end. My EQ Juggernaut was gutted on the first EQ nerf. Then they nerfed the totems. Then they nerfed poison via the new map mods. And physical. And AoE. Like wtf man...

Then they went and made everything even harder? Like what the fuck for? The more I think about it the more it just triggers me and then every little annoyance in the game kinda pisses me off more and then I'm like why the fuck do I even give these guys money? To nerf the fuck outta everything so the game sucks ass and isn't even fun to play? 100 maps and not a single notable thing drops. Wow, I got like 600 jewellers and 200 fuses...oh and more maps to run big fucking deal.

The issue isn't about a few op skills. Nerfing even more shit so there is even less to do like the mouth breathers in this thread want isn't the answer and I wish GGG would get their head out of their ass and stop tuning this game to like the seven streamers they employ and actually make it fun for everyone. You don't have to give out Shavs or Cospris to everyone but fuck man, do something to make it more than just this rippy ass game where you trade for shit rather than farming stuff. This is supposed to be about grinding and getting lucky but it's so imbalanced that it's work. Literally it's fucking work. And everyone's job is the same: monster killer. You kill monsters and sell shit hoping to make enough to buy the stuff you want. It's like log in go to work. And the amount of repition, like say what you want about D3 but at least you found shit from time to time.

I get it. Small outfit gotta stretch a buck, but fuck, you can only recycle the same content over and over till people lose it and start blowing their brains out. And it seems like GGG, because they have grown so much as a company, are finding out that they need to scale their revenue just to stay even. Yeah they have like 40 people now but that means keeping 40 people paid as opposed to 10, so yeah essence stash tabs, div stash tabs, fucking quad stash tabs, like kk.

This game is turning into a laughing stock no joke. I can't get a single friend interested in it, and I've totally stopped trying.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but flameblast hasn't beend changed since 2.1 damage-wise?! I think it's perfectly fine. What may be op are flameblast totems! Please don't nerf all those selfcast flameblast just because the combination with totems is too good.

I have 4 selfcast flameblasters :( (and a ton of other builds too ofc, but i enjoy fb the most)

Pretty much this. I dont care in the slightest if a skill is nerfed or not, i am not min-maxer enough to actually care about slight clearspeed advantages.

What you fail to realize is that there will always be a meta. It is technically impossible to completely 100% balance all builds (even 10 of them). There will always be something that is just even a fraction of a hair stronger. As long as that is the case, everyone will migrate to it and it now becomes "the meta".

You guys are simply living in some socialist utopian wraeclast where every build performs to the same aptitude.

Even a game like Diablo 3 that balances around 10 or so sets can't get it right. 10 simple builds...still no balance.

People that cry nerfs are completely short-sided and don't see the big picture. There will always be a #1 build. If you nerf/remove it and make it #10...guess what there is a new #1. It is a natural instinct for players to want to feel overpowered. Players will continually play those builds that are #1.

Nerf cycles end up watering down a game. It stifles creativity and creates an oppressive game environment. All of those innovators out there that risk 100 exalts on a super risky build that may or may not work? What incentive would they have to be creative when everything is at the same powerlevel?

I'm sorry you are trying to turn this game into a boring crawl where "all builds are equal", in doing so you will kill the very spirit of what makes this game special. Diablo 3 did something similar by herding players into sets. Now every season they change 1000% to 1500% or some relative shitty change like that.

You guys really have no idea what you are talking about and your crusade for balance will undoubtedly stifle creativity. If that happens, why even play this game?

I'm not saying the 10 builds need to be equal in every regard, it is not even to objectively quantity every aspect of a build and equalize it to another's. I'm saying it makes more sense for there to be 10 viably strong but not perfectly equal end game builds rather than 1 ridiculously overpowered build that is cycle nerfed every league.

It didn't take hundreds of exalts, a degree in quantum mechanics or much more IQ than a monkey's to make blade flurry work. Did you just use the word innovation to describe a meta poe build? That's gold. I bet the Mathil sheep think their poe's version of Einstein.
