not too much to add to this... lively discussion
if you take damage, it is an instinct (which i learned in hc) to immediately run away from the perceived source. while i was doing temple on my whispering ice build, and my idiotic self packed up his stuff and ran away. which was the WORST choice. blasphemy and warlord's mark are a great combination, but they do not work as well when your stacks of icestorm deal tremendous damage to a reflect mob offscreen and you leech nothing. really counterintuitive, i definitely had to learn to get close and not to stack up too many casts of icestorm on reflecters. every other reflection is manageable. elemental reflect and -resistances are painful, but manageable. elemental reflect and elemental weakness curse are not, same for physical reflect and vulnerability, at least not for most self-cast builds. i think it is a great game mechanic (and it works much better than the unaviodable instakill with that reflect in diablo II act 3, when the knights casted iron maiden unto you) Last edited by ab_#5633 on Dec 1, 2016, 10:52:32 PM

I dont entirely disagree with the OP but you said your resists arent even maxed. I mean come on. Thats usually a priority. You can easily be a glass cannon and still max resists.
Other than that... yeah, i think it ahould be changed a bit... like in d3 it went from an entire pack being reflect to 1 mob at a time i think? That way if you hit it with one AOE spell you dont instagib from the reflect.... Although d3 entirely overnerfed it which they tend to do and also what people in this community dont want to happen. Reflect in d3 doesnt even do anything anymore. I still think it should be based off your own damage, but one monster at a time instead of an entire pack. That should easily be manageable. |

" What game have you been playing? PoE does not have reflect packs, unless you count the map reflect mod. But that's rather easy to avoid, even for unid maps. Just probe the first pack carefully to see if they reflect or not. |

" I don't recall how Reflect works in Diablo III, but I know that this has been the case in Path of Exile for a while now (not counting the Map mod, but that's on the player :P ). |

Reflect packs haven't been a thing in as long as I can remember being here. It's always been singleton rares or a map mod. Admittedly, the map mod is incredibly rippy most of the time, but you also kinda know exactly what you're in for if you do a reflect map.
