Evasion - cap impossible to reach?
|
of course its impossible. with evasion diminishing returns it is just not possible. those are really impressive evasion numbers though. it isn't too difficult to get around 50k evasion for a working build, which is around 71-72% chance to evade.
i've always loved evasive builds. not necessarily full evaSION but evaSIVE meaning anything that allows you to not get hit. block, dodge, evasion. you couple all those together and you're the tankiest mofo in the game with a decent EHP. this is why block got absolutely MURDERED back in 1.3 patch i believe it was. because too many people could just build a sword/board or even dual wield, cap block, still have lots of dodge and lots of evasion. with good ole triple legacy BoR you would basically be unkillable. 75% chance to block, 40% chance to dodge and 60% chance to evade you're looking at a 94% chance to prevent being hit. this gets raised significantly if the enemy is blind. this was quite easily achieved back in the day before block/acrobatics got heavily nerfed, and for good reason. now-a-days you can still stack effects. even on my existing character right now if i swap out my dual wield sword for a shield, and use my legacy rumi's with stone of lazhwar i can get 2771 armor (18%), 63,609 evasion (76%), 40% dodge, 46% spell dodge, 52% block, 47% spell block. and i don't even have alchemist nodes. with alchemist nodes i'd have 60% block and 56% spell block in total. this gives me a 93.1% chance to avoid all physical damage, and a 66.1% chance to avoid all spell damage. not factoring in blind or anything else like ascendancy boosts, or alchemist nodes. " You probably meant "attack" with "physical". Anyway - does that work vs GMP tar throwers? Or those revenant explosions? Or GMP vultures? Or do these have "secondary" damage type? No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
